  • How does one get the sheet music for this version?

  • 1 person is tired of hearing their roomate play this song all day.. hee hee =)

  • Where can I get THIS piano arrangement?

  • I've been looking for this for ages! I guess I've been aiming at the wrong title because I thought it was "Eyes on Me" instrumental!

  • Final Fantasy VIII is not so much of a sword fighting video game, but rather an unfolding love story filled with fantasy, and drama.

  • This is much better than Eyes On Me.

  • how could one make war when listening to this. this is the link between all cultures. this is how we need to communicate, not through words. music godess of all languages.

  • Omg Epic. I loved Faye Wong version but this is amazing...

  • I´m feeling back to my Final Fantasy VIII world!

  • I love how this song has 0 Dislikes! Nobody could dislike such beautiful music!

  • That's it. I'm getting married to this song.

  • still no dislike ,keep it like that

  • those photos you upload warm up my heart and break it when i look at the concrete outside my window. Damn we're so sheltered from nature.

  • オリジナルより泣ける…

    管弦楽ってすごい。自分もやっていたけど。

  • Best theme ever. I love this so much I'll simply have to make my own version. So beautiful...

  • Where did this version of the song come from? The one from the 20020220 album sounds different, and I like this one much better :). The piano is so virtuostic in this one.

  • @gorillapenguin actually it's from the 19991120 Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec

  • A great arrangement of a great song by a great composer. :-)

  • The ending of this theme is always so magical wow!!

  • which album/concert is this from?

  • @minklerender This is from the Final Fantasy album, 20020220. ;).

  • @piano77man77 haha thanks! its downright lovely =)

  • @minklerender Anytime!

  • @piano77man77 This isn't from 1999. It's from 2002. 2002/02/20 = year/month/day of this very concert

  • I love this song! I just wish my family would take Nobuo Uematsu's music more seriously. Just because he composed for a video game they don't give his music a chance. Exept for my mother which she will listen to it sometimes but always say jokes while listening to it. :/ Oh well

  • @bowenstrife omg same, maybe they will start to come around when they come with me to the distant worlds concert in november :)

  • @sunheart123

You know if I had one wish it would be for Nobuo Uematsu to compose music for me. :) That and World peace. O_O of course.

  • @bowenstrife yeah, i wan't my own theme music too :) and world peace lol xD

  • @sunheart123

World Peace is always important :p

You know though I'm thinking of becoming a video game character designer so maybe Nobuo will compose music for a character i create :)

  • Final Fantasy has been my entire childhood. It has shaped me somewhat to who I am now, and how I perceive things. It's made me better in the skills I started to use when I was younger. Nobuo Uematsu is the absolute king of music and there is no way one of his pieces will not make me cry. Most people don't understand that, but the ones who do are a part of this immense universe that goes beyond just being "a game." A worldwide connection, forever. Thanks for uploading.

  • @PhoenixBeam Agreed. Nobuo Uematsu has one of those unique abilities to compose a beautiful piece flawlessly, as in this performance, to the point of letting your emotions out.

  • @PhoenixBeam I could not find more fitting words for what you just said but I agree wholeheartedly. Final Fantasy has shaped my childhood as well...

  • @PhoenixBeam FFVIII woke up my romantic side

  • Fucking EPIC.

  • first video i've seen with over 1000 views that doesn't have at least one dislike.

  • Uematsu is fucking Jesus come back from heaven to deliver our ears from Justin Beiber.

  • @justa16thnote Amen to that!

  • @justa16thnote

    Hallelujah, Brother! Also: FIRAGA!

  • @justa16thnote Justin Bieber ruined the music industry and only Nobuo can save it

  • @justa16thnote geez i read your comment and thought uematsu was dead! thank god he isn't! he composed the music for ff14 after taking a break from 12 and 13, no? here's to hoping he does 15 (if there's one) as well!!

  • For some reason I heard "Suddenly Seymore, standing beside me..." at the powerful moment. It fits! Who'da thunk.

  • just heard this for the first time and, wow, simply one of the best things i've ever heard in my life! :O i've been a fan of the ff music for about 7yrs now, mostly from X, and never realised the pre-X games had such masterpiece scores made orchestra's! hats off to nobuo, my early-teen hero, all over again... wow wow wow

  • goosebumps at the @3:00 onwards

  • dat quality, it's BEAUTIFUL thanks dude!

  • @lanceheart563 Anytime!

  • FF8, a very excruciating game to play through, but beautiful background scenes and the one of the best musics ever, what other series got so much more polishing with piano and orchestrations?

  • @golden5mk Honestly, I can't think of any other RPG or video game that consisted of such beautiful orchestrations.

  • man this HD quality kicks my MP3's ass.

  • @jkdreamer01 That's awesome man, I think lol...

  • I want to get married to this song.

  • Sooo Using this for my wedding!!!!!!

  • I used to laugh at this song, because it indicated that a sappy love scene was going to play. But then again, it wouldn't be FFVIII without those scenes. They weren't all that bad. But this is really detailed! I love Final Fantasy VII, and I'm trying to beat it right now. xD I found it in an old box when I was moving last summer. 3:28- Nice!

  • @2RandomGirls Thank you. I appreciate that!

  • Comment removed

  • @2RandomGirls I meant to say FFVIII, not VII! xD

  • best video on youtube. by miles.

  • @Renellas Thank you!

  • i played FF8 so much its just like a movie i want a Final Fantasy VIII Movie just like FF7 AV^^

  • i've always loved this kind of music, so relaxing and easy to listen.. i could play this in a loop 24/7 in my room and never get bored listening to it.. i know everyone has their own favorite music but i just don't like it when metal/rap/pop fanboys/fanboys say their favorites are the only REAL music.. well, 3 words, SUCK ON THIS! hah, well i said enough.. 5* + subs

  • @ponkadolz Don't worry about any fanboys and just listen to what your heart fancies. Can't go wrong with Nobuo's material IMO

  • @ponkadolz I am a metal head through and through, and all I have to say is, this game and the music that came with it, will always be in my head, there's noway to else to put it. It was the first Final Fantasy I played, and I have to say. GOOD CHOICE!

  • Thank you for posting this! :D

*Goes to convert this video into an mp3*

  • One of the best games made and best soundtracks composed

  • Indeed. The first time I heard this performance, I was just blown away. It still captivates me to this day.

  • Final Fantasy VIII is more than just a game. It's a masterpiece, a Work Of Art, with the storyline deeper than in 99% of the movies, superb music perfectly fittin' in it, with astonishing graphics and world so beautiful you want to dwell in. It's an epic story in which everyone may participate more deeply than in any ordinary movie or book, showing most beautiful feelings in a heart-touching way. Forgetting this masterpiece is impossible.

  • @Zazyr Amen :0 are u a wizard?

  • @Zazyr I love you

  • @Zazyr You're absolutely right on every count =) FFVIII is an will forever be the most heart warming final fantasy of the series.

  • @WolfgangAmadeusF Agreed, I hold Final Fantasy VIII right up there with Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI & The Legend of Dragoon!! All 3 have a great over all musical score, wonderful characters & well writen stories & villians you LOVE to hate!

  • @DarkKadan Named off my Three favorite games of all time. Get out my head!

  • @XxDeadsunxX Hey great minds think alike bro. ;D

  • @DarkKadan Yep, FF6/CT best SNES games ever. LoD is just amazing on PS1.

  • @XxDeadsunxX Yep I'm still holding out for a Legend of Dragoon sequal on the ps3 or psp...but I doubt the people running sony now would even know enough to do that...a shame really. But atleast we should be getting the Final Fantasy VI remake on the 3DS!!

  • @DarkKadan I've heard alot of rumors about LoD2 on PS3. I really hope so, it was a very good game, although it seemed rushed. FF6 remake? I'll all over that. In my opinion though, I think all FFs from 2/4/3/6-9 should be remade on PS3, but it'll never happen.

  • @XxDeadsunxX Well they would look pretty yes & mabey an FF8 remake would work, but I think Square would release the older FF's on Nintendo platforms out of respect to the veteranes. I mean an FF7 remake on a Nintendo platform is alot less likely than a sony platform because it's more known there. And since FF1-6 were Nintendo exclusives I think they'de sell better over here. Plus FF3 & FF4 were AMAZING & duel screens really made battles ceaner, stats on bottom ACTION ON TOP!!

  • @DarkKadan I'd die for an FF8 remake on PS3. And are you referring to the DS versions of FF 3 and 6? I'll have to check those out. I don't own a Wii, but I think I saw alot of the FFs on their market.

  • @XxDeadsunxX Yeah the Wii has alot of FF exclusives that you won't find on Xbox live or PSN. And not just the Crystal Chronicle spin offs but also THE sequal to Final Fantasy IV & they've added the original FF4 to the virtual console on the SNES games list, it's only a matter of time before they add FF Mystic Quest & Final Fantasy VI that are on Super Nintendo!!

Sooooooo many old school classic to download on the Wii & alot of good new & original titles too.

  • @DarkKadan Aaaah Mystic Quest.. That was an odd FF, but in a good way. Never played CC, but I never had a gamecube or a wii. I am probably gonna' end up buying a Wii, but I dunno since the market is now screwed in the fall when Sony releases their Move wireless controllers. I already own an SNES and pretty every SNES FF. Any thoughts on that?

  • @XxDeadsunxX Well FFMQ was kinda odd BUT I liked the weapon use for exploration like Zelda does. FFCC is a good Action RPG like KH or Zelda so if you DO get a Wii (get the SEXY Black one!!) buy FFCC & get a GC controler & Memory Card since the Wii can play GameCube games just fine.

Kudos for owning an SNES the BEST system made thus far, BUT with the Wii you get also access to SEGA systems, NeoGeo, Turbo Graphix, Comador 64 & alot of games you WON'T find on XBL OR psn & good Wiiware games too!

  • @DarkKadan My SNES is my baby basically. I still have access to the genesis and the older systems, I just hate having to HDMI out to my TV to do it. (emulation ftl, but I miss alot of these games). If the Wii proves to me they got something up their sleeve. I'll buy it, but for now I am convinced that the Move and Wave are going to destroy the Wii's market. Sad.

  • @XxDeadsunxX Not nessecarily, sony's little "Lolypop" requires the Eye Toy, something almost NO ps3 or even ps2 owner has (I should know I can NEVER find someone to play Eye or Judgement online with me) AND you have to make sure that the room your playing in is dark enough so the ET can see the light at the tip of the lolypop.

Also I think people would be put off by NATAL by the fact that there's nothing in your hand & it would feel aquard to a certain extent. You might feel...not centered.

  • @DarkKadan Maybe so, but alot of reviews and everything about the Wii I've read is that it probably won't last much longer and Nintendo will probably end up away from consoles again. Noone knows though, and for all we know, Nintendo may have a huge ace up their sleeve.

  • @XxDeadsunxX Well it amazes me how people say the Wii has no hardcore games or that it's just a gimmick because I own PLENTY of good games that do control well. Funny thing is that the people who bash or doubt the Wii are the same people who've NEVER even played one OR played the good Hardcore games that are on it.

Tell me when you buy one & I'll tell you the games that DO control well & are fun to play both Hardcore & some Casual that warrent replay value, just don't nock it till you try it.

  • @DarkKadan I'm probably gonna buy one next months and some games and the extra gyro, What do you recommend on the Wii?

  • @XxDeadsunxX Well it depends on your genere of preference, like what you prefer or what you don't like to play in terms of Racers, RPGs, Puzzle games, Action RPGs, FPS & even RTS. Tell me what types of games you like & I'll tell you the names of good ones on the Wii.

But yeah DEFINATLY get the Motion+ with it, cool thing though is if you get the SEXY Black Wii bundle you get Wiimote, Nunchuck, Motion+, WiiSports & WiiSports Resort all for ONLY $200...that's like a $50 or $75 dollar DEAL!!!!

  • masterpiece.

  • Thank you!

  • favourited and subbed. interested to know where you found this version of Love Grows, since its a tad bit different from the version featured in Distant Worlds, i think?

  • glad you like this version! It's from the album called: 'Final Fantasy VIII: Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec (Original Soundtrack)', released back in the year 1999.

you are correct..... this version is a bit faster, 4:35 in length; the Distant Worlds one is slower, 5:10 in length, released in 2001.

I like this one more though because of how great the oboe/oboist sounds is when heard... It's more flowing, and majestic...

    Thanks for the comment!

  • I'll answer your question lol...

I found this song on iTunes....

I have found it in the past on LimeWire, though...

  • FinalFantasy8 is the birth of great music T_T

    I love Squall he's so kawaii ^-^

This song really helps my imagination which is good when I am making my game.

  • Definitely!

this song is beautiful for all occasions ;D......

  • I only have one word for this: sublime

  • Thanks!

  • With the memory capacity even of PS1 discs, I wonder why they couldn't orchestrate all the tracks in the Final Fantasy games. The only fully-orchestrated tracks in this game, as I recall, were Liberi Fatali and Eyes on Me. It couldn't add that much more in terms of megabytes, and sure it would mean a big jump in production values - hiring a full orchestra can't be cheap - but that's not much compared to the millions already spent on graphics. Music's just as crucial to immersion in a game, imo.

  • Yeah, I agree! Just like a film--the music is crucial and 9 times out of 10 it is orchestrated with a real orchestra. I can only imagine, even though they were all extremely popular, how much more it would have sold with a completely orchestrated soundtrack...

  • beautiful

  • thanks!

  • I was under the impression that this song was called eyes on me. Or was that only the adapted version by the singer Faye Wong? Wikipedia says that Faye Wong's version was the cover version for the game...

  • I've heard the piano version of 'Eyes On Me', and there are quite a few alterations with the song itself compared to 'Love Grows'. Both songs, though, were recorded in 1999. 'Eyes On Me' is really toned down and mellow, whereas 'Love Grows' is full of instrumentation and later sounding like Rachmaninoff's rhapsody paganini. Nobuo Uematsu has additional orchestrated songs on the "fithos lusec wecos vinocec" soundtrack.

I think 'Eyes On Me' was Nobuo's adaptational song for Faye Wong.

  • I think this is from the "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" soundtrack version of the Final Fantasy VIII soundtrack.

  • That is correct!

  • may i know where can download this song?i really like this song so much....finding so long but dont know where to download....

  • what high sound quality!

and composing quality, of course. nothing less from mister Uematsu

  • Thanks!

  • Mr Uematsue really must re-do his work with a full orchestra, this sounds godly

  • i have this song in my ipod -w-b

  • I've been looking for an orchestral arrangement of "Eyes on Me"/"Love Grows" for so long, and this is such a beautiful arrangement, too! Thanks for uploading, and for such high quality sound too. :)

  • Thanks a lot!

  • this IS the best version XD

  • Oh yes!

  • This must be one of the most beautiful song arrangements ever.

  • Absolutely!

  • Actually, it is an Orchestration version of "Eyes on me"

  • "Love Grows" and "Eyes on Me" are technically two different songs, but they're basically the same as they have the same melody.

  • Is this Love Grows?

I thought this song was Squall and Rinoa's Theme?

  • Yes, this is Love Grows, according to the album ;).

  • Bravi!!!!

very well done by whatever orchestra group this is. and for uploading such highquality

  • Thank you very much!

  • Bravo !!!very good done ,music and images are in perfect harmony

    5*****

    irmaroza

  • Thank you!!
