  • clearly who can mess rAma naamaaaaaaa ... no one its in our ears and the heart which takes it ..... no matter which version its rama naamaaa and it is sweet every where and in every ones voice .....

  • Foreign Ga indeed looks awkward.......other than that, no comments..wonderful...

  • mridangam is mannargudi eshwaran

  • I've been searching for a singer a wee bit closer to your rendition... You are the Great Sir... the now Famous Unni Krishna messed it up for his part...

  • according to me and the mrudungum and the violin is just so divine to give our life for

  • the best singer which i consider and the mrudangam is just divine with the violin.

  • He is a master of rendition..especially the complicated parts!

  • watch from 0:40 to 1:10 ..wow..chanceless rendering..

  • Excellent exposition and wonderful vocal support!!!

  • awesomeeeeeee just awesomeeeeeeeeee thansk for sharing this

  • T.N.S sings absolutely brilliant.

but........... son,TNS.K, ohmg, why did he grab the foreign GA in ?

    may be lack of practice.

  • Where is this "foreign GA" ?

  • listen carefully, "GA" comes in the final 'korvai'. He sings like, GA RI SA NI PA instead of MA RI SA NI PA.

    got it?

  • Yes I checked. But, I dont think i'm good enuf to comprehend tat yet. am a beginner.

  • nothing about crescendo, it just wasn't in the pattern set by the preceding corvais. it's a convention that you stick to the pattern. it's the repetition that gives the korvai a sense of ending, so when you introduce a note that wasn't in the preceding pattern, the ending isn't as grand. get it?

  • Yep absolutely. Thanx for the info....

  • GA is impossible to comprehend given the way the song built up in crescendo !!!!!

Wake up and smell the coffee !

  • Good spot :-) I think even TN looks sheepish for a moment.

  • amazing keerthanam.... does anyone have the one sung by Dr. Balamurli Krishna?? Thanks in advance

  • incomparable! brilliance at the very best

mrudangam accompanist is a genius too

  • It is truly amazing that some people find it so annoying that TNSK used a foreign-Ga in Hamsanatham.. Hmm.. If TNS (dad) can get

the Sa right for one full concert,

I'll be glad to listen to more of him :-) BTW, I wonder if you have heard both Nishadas being used in hamsanatham by some school of singers (like GNB, Mandolin Srinivas)..

  • pretty descent

  • spell check??

  • TNS Krishna can make it big..... He needs to work hard....really hard.... I'm telling this coz I've heard a flawless nayaki sung by him a few years ago

  • tns krishna still has a baby nasal voice. he needs to refine it - he'll become a fine singer in my limited opinion

  • Oh god, was tht gandhaaram in tht final korvai by TNS's son ??!!

  • absolutely brilliant

  • Krishna is hopeless man! Whenever I listen to the maestro TNS, I feel its just impossible to reach this level.. it only discourages me :) He is simply out of the world.. I have some tapes of his, which on listening, makes me cry, and marvel at the same time! krishna on the contrary is just not good! - its there for everyone to see! He brings in a total nasal voice! Even in this tape, he sings "Gandharam" swaram in hamsanadham- during the final korvai! Sad :(

  • MY guru is the best "the god of music!!".

  • Absolutely nauseating kalpana swarams, particularly the last one! If only I could reach into the screen and....

  • soul mesmerising ragam.beautiful

  • this is great

  • i love this raaga when master sings

  • wow...so beautiful.. have never heard this raga before. The tune reminds me of the cinema song 'oru poo ezhuthum kavithai'sung by unnikrishnan

  • excellent!!!! mridangam, kanira....and the voilin too

  • TNS's son is terrible..... his swara prayagos look like they have been practised for ages...lacks spontaenity....

in the korvai...he sang Ga Ri at the final round.....o..horrible..

  • agreed... exactly my thoughts..!! he is wanting to sound like a seasoned exponent which is only achievable with solid genuine experience.. it has to evolve on its one.. he doesn't get it that its difficult and worthless to fake that.. =))

  • Mr. Krishna's singing is only lacking in quality in that he seems unable to produce that subtle 'bhavam' that Mr. Seshagopalan is so expert at creating, just by a quick inflection of the voice at 'riti,' for instance. But I think he certainly has technique and given time and much experience, I feel that it will improve of itself. His voice does remind one of a younger T.V. Sankaranarayanan, though.

  • He better improves!! This can't be the quality if you are carrying TNS's mantle!!

  • some more of TNS plz.......really gr8 work.....kudos

  • Brilliant Sir!!!! Very inspiring to students like me who are learning this art! Beautifully sung, Mrindangam and Violin just pure excellent playing

    Congratulations!

  • beautiful composition, kudos to TNS

  • in spite of recording from TV prog, the quality is so good; thanks .TNS's son has a bright future.

    suryanaryanan, paris

  • Excellent. The son will definitely reach where his father is today

  • This is a nice video despite the low pixel quality. What an excellent raga, too.
