  • gran voz

  • What key is this in? IT'S WONDERFUL :)

  • his voice is so beautiful that I was on the verge of tears <3 Absolutely wonderful and I kinda wish I knew you in person because I sing also.

  • GOOD!!

  • That was amazing. I have to sing this song next month at a music contest. He did really good. I love his voice.

  • That awkward moment on Youtube when someone's actually good. :)

  • This kid has a great voice and great breath control. I wish my breath control was that good, but I'm working on it.

  • I thought he did really well, I hope I could sing it this well someday. haha I'm in lessons! :)

  • it took me forver to learn this song and im not even as half as good as himmmmmmm

  • Bravo Jamie! Sei malto talento e sono bella voce. Ben fat to signore!

  • what voice part do u sing tenor 1,2 bass 1,2?

  • @tazag8rocks88 yes l didn't think about that when l filmed him. It was the usual happy mother being proud to hear and put her son on YouTube and he ends up looking like an American Footballer....lol. He is 6ft 3in tall and l was stupid enough to be sitting down.....

  • This is lovely.

  • I think this guy did very well , I sang this song in 8th grade and it was a hard piece then now im about to sing it agian to get into a music program for school. But all in all Very Good Job !!!

  • Very fresh voice... Got potential! WORK HARD MATE!

  • Very good your video.

Look for Felipe Peletta also singing this song and many others.

  • that was soo surprising. that voice out of that body. wow. amazing.

  • ever since my brother showed me this song ive been in looove with it, singing it 24/7

  • Very talented voice--great potential. I hope you are taking your voice training seriously. Best wishes for your future success.

  • nice voice :'DD

  • very nice but didnt like how yuh faked the ending

  • @123456789Mrsinger can you let me know what you mean by faking the ending? This is such a long time ago when Jamie was 17 and he hadn't sung it with the accompaniment before. He also still had a chorister voice. I have been trying to get him to sing it now as his voice has changed so much. Maybe he will.

  • @trishignao i think he ment that he wasn't pronouncing the words well enought that it seemed like he just sang the notes instead of actually sying anything...but idk...but he has the lyrics....?? idk dis guy must've been on somethin er just wanted to say shit haha

  • @123456789Mrsinger There is nothing "faked" about the ending...it is precisely as the Schirmer edition indicates. This young man has a fine voice and a fine future in music, in my humble (but thoroughly educated) opinion.

  • man schläft so gut bei solcher interpretazionen! sehr gute mittel bei schlaflosigkeit!

  • wow... wonderfull voice :)

  • There is not enough crescendo and climax from 1:25 to 1:39, but still very good.

  • @tazag8rocks88 that is funny. It was the way l was sitting while filming it. It was the first time that he sang this piece with the piano so it was not intended as a recital or performance but more for Jamie to look at how he was singing. But l had to go and put it on youtube!!!!! So we could complain about his straight tone voice, his self conducting, using a music stand and the need for a real haircut but he was learning and was not expected to know it when l filmed it.

  • Looking back on this video is pretty amusing. I would think that his voice and hairstyle have developed over the last four/five years. I would know this seeing as he IS me. :)

  • @jamieignao and you still have not manged to find a hairdresser have you son????? Maybe you could start to sing properly again and let your old mother hear just how much you have improved since then!!!!!! Stil love you though.

  • Very beautiful voice you have!

  • where is this kid now?

  • Very beautiful voice! So pure! But if I can give you an advice, exchange your hairstyle. To be sincere with you and without any wickedness, at the beginning of the video, I believed that you carried a hat :-) Cheerio!

  • @19olivier72 lol......believe me l have turned grey trying to tell him that........lol.

  • Oh my goodness! U sounded amazing. Ur voice is just so pure. I'm singing this next weekend for choir! And ur video was a big help. I love music and ur video really shoes the beauty of music and singing! Amazing voice!

  • u have a really good voice .

i have to sing this for my chior final, and this is really helping me learn it!

    really nice job though!! =]

  • Hey I really enjoyed that!! I recorded it this month having never sang this style of music before!! Check it out! No cringing! Ha Ha! Keep singing!

  • Around 2.06 your voice almost has a cello quality

  • soo good!!!!

  • i've been practicing this song for a scholarship audition and i think i have you beat. lol. jk. you did a great job

  • Linda voz!

    :-)

  • I like this piece. Good voice. Check me out I sang the same song. Search rene ortiz in concert- car mio ben. Or reneortiz02

  • wow u have an amazing voice :)

  • wow. just wow. ♥

  • Very splendid voice!

  • guy, you´re amazing. your voice.. is just beautiful. ican´t believe what i had seen. i sing Caro mio ben, too, but i´m not so good, like you!

(i´m from Argentina, so probably i´m not writing well.

    kiss

  • Please stay on the breath viva bel canto

  • This was after all filmed over three years ago and without any vocal coaching so hopefully all you guys watching this will find the opportunity to find yourself a great coach and never stop wanting to better your voice. Jamie has changed so much in a few years and l hope he continues to grow in his vocal presentation and desire to become the best. If you live in Orlando check out Maestro Bill Doherty as a coach...he is the best.

  • AWWWW GREAT VOICE!!!!!! Verrrry Sexy ;)

  • That voice has a nice tone to it but there is plenty more room for development.

Perhaps a better understanding of the words would make this performance a bit more interesting; it wasn't particularly engaging. Breathing is a little late sometimes, breathing a bar before you have to come in is much better.

There are lots of nice ornaments you can add to this piece to make it more musical.

    Well done!

  • You have a good voice and loads of potential. You need to take more air into your lungs to give yourself better breath support and sing longer phrases ie (Caro mio ben credimi almen), in one breath. Best luck for the future.

  • Very well done! I just have one suggestion. Fight at the beginning of the piece try not to make the "Di" in Credimi Almen so bright, darken it up by raising the soft pallet. :) otherwise awesome performance!

  • Very well done! I just have one suggestion. Fight at the beginning of the peice try not to make the "Di" in Credimi Almen so bright, darken it up by raising the soft pallet. :) otherwise awesome performance!

  • Woah! That was unexpected. Usually Youtube performance videos are like mediocre singing, mediocre song. Great voice! Great job! :)

  • timbro fantastico!!!

  • We have to sing this for Choir.

I am in love in this song..

  • I'm in love. With his voice. It's the next Josh Groban, I'm telling you. lol. Great job! :)

  • this is really good!

  • guau k genial

  • omg! i love ur voice! awesome! :D <33333

  • amazingggg

  • realy good XD

  • Hey brillent voice!!! But i was just wondering what the range needed for this song? like what was the highest and lowest note hit in this version he sung?

  • @ledademmahom i think its around a g lol

  • @ledademmahom

The key is eb. Highest note Eb top space on staff, lowest note D space below staff. An easy range for a tenor but I would suspect most tenors would prefer 1 to 2 tones higher.

  • Belissima voz! E incrivelmente parecida com a minha, soh senti falta de um pouco mais de apoio, mas de apurado senso interpretativo.

  • When referring to a person: "He is an Episcopalian"..."I am an Episcopalian...When referring to a church: "St. Barnabas Episcopal Church"...when referring to a diocese: "The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California"...when referring to theology and beliefs: "Episcopal Theology/Episcopal Beliefs"...nice singing

  • Sight read? Very quick Latin reading too. You were fabulous, but in a couple places you were just a bit nasal. I can only imagine you are phenominal now. I'm thinking of using this as an audition piece for the ACDA All-National Choir.

  • I like your singing a lot. Great job on sliding from one note to another!! Cheers.

  • You capture the emotional dynamic .. SPOT on... that is the most impressive part of this... That some one so young has the emotional depth of this song.... Very Good job

  • beautiful!!!

  • omg he's amazing!!!!! gave me the chills! I sing this song all the time as a soprano :)

  • I am singing this song with my vocal coach!! GREAT JOB!

  • He's so cute and he sing really great!

  • =D yay i love it

  • jamie is a awsome singer i'm singing that song for a solo im a aulto

  • my sister is singing dihs

  • What is his last name?..... the hot jamie dude that sings this

  • Wow. Beautiful voice man. I'm learning the same song lol :)

  • Wonderful. I will be recording this soon. For a baritone such as myself is gets just a bit high on the high F but other than that it is a great piece to sing.

  • VERY NICE VOICE!!

  • Be sure to channel those nerves in a POSITIVE way...DON'T just stare at a page...it closes and changes your WHOLE sound...watch your breathing and watch those crescendos!!!! Other than that....great job!!

  • diction, breathing and mouth shaping all need work,

  • oh my gosh that is so hott lol i love it when a guy can sing! good job.

  • Your are astounding.

  • wow u have a reallly nice voice

  • I'm learning this song as well... You did a great job... Im singing this one for contest.

  • I'm learning this piece now and you are a really good person to learn from. Well done! (:

  • I was searching this song, anrd really like your interpretation...simple...and expressive in the right point to me...memorize...that's better idea in a recital... that help to te concentration about the sense of the piece

  • Number one: please memorize the music and put away the music holder. Then let yourself go and think of the interpretation. And . . . breathe!!

  • oh my, I just can't stop listening, you have a really sweet voice

  • great job :) i love ur voice

  • this piece is really beautiful.

i'm singing it for solo and essemble at Kewanee High and i'm still learning the words. but i really think Jamie did a wonderful job at it

  • Beautiful

  • I'm learning the same song, obviously higher since i'm a girl but this was really good!

  • i think you did a GREAT job! I just started learning this song, (in my first semester of singing lessons) and hope i can perform it half as well as you at my recital in may!

  • you have a nice voice . Still i think you have to come more out with your voice , more forward...

  • back off you wanna be.

  • that was beautiful. :) i think you should try singing with a more forward tone, it'lll bring out your voice's natural vibrato and uniqueness. It sounds very nice right now but it sort of sounds like if u were singing in a choir, like you're trying to blend with someone that's not there. Just sing out a bit, dont let that piano be louder than you. good luck!

  • look dude u sing this song like, beutifly. my vocal coach is making me practice this as a vocal exercise lmfao. yo dude no offence but if u arnt already out of the church u should cuz u could go big (vocaly) hello like u sing that as an aditioun for juliard how ever you spell it and ur in no question! :) ur kinda hot to

  • Juilliard is one of the most respected music schools in existence. Not saying that this young man doesn't have promise, but it would take a lot more than singing Caro Mio Ben to get in there. Musically speaking, this is a rather easy piece. Also, there are really no "no question" anticipated acceptances to Juilliard.

    Anyways, Bravo!

  • Most promising rendition!!! Good Job. :)

  • I love this song, it is so beautiful.

I sang it for Solo and Ensemble and got a Superior.

You have such a beautiful voice.

    :D

  • your great!

  • You might want to shape your mouth more. Just a suggestion

  • Your voice is outstanding...i am performing this song for part of my college audition at ISU...i hope to sound much like you in this video....your voice sounds like a more proper version of David Artuletta ha

  • OMG!!! I'm singing this for solo and ensemble competition, and I heard you sing it and I fell in love with the sound of your voice. I found my role model for the next two weeks. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @timv94 hey are u going to be going to walla walla fer the solo ensomble?? Im goin to be goin to my solo ensomble too! i myt sing this song also!

  • utterly amazing.

    i loved it.

im doing this song with my voice coach.

    it's so beautiful.

  • wow i really love ur voice

  • im going to sing this for my lachsa audition...... you sang this very well good job :)

  • I am singing this for an Allstate Choir audition, just a bit faster though! haha i love this song and he has an AMAZING voice!

  • I sung this for district and did very well,.. if this guy was there,. id probably find something else to sing,.. =)

  • I have to sing this next friday at a concert. I hope I can sing it as well as this guy does. I thought you'd be crap lol but far out man, thats mad.

  • good job! :)

  • I like the way you roll your R's.

  • woot go jamie (hes my guitar teacher and is uberly awsome)

  • I love this song........can I marry this guy?

  • @RockerTori106 Not If I marry him first . .

  • Comment removed

  • we are doing this for chior

  • The lyrics, translated, refer to the singer's 'love.' It doesn't specify a gender, and heaven knows plenty of love songs are sung by men.

  • "caro" is masculine, whereas "cara" is feminine

  • Touche.

  • Caro is referred to "ben" which roughly means tresure...therefore the gender of the object of this love song is not specified. The first words just mean "my dear tresure"

  • L'inglese lirico sono: (The english lyrics are)

"Thou, all my bliss, Bellieve but this: When thou art far My heart is Lorn.X2

Thy lover true Ever doth sigh; Do but for go such cruel scorn. Do but for-go Such cruel scorn such cruel scorn.

Thou all my bliss Believe but this: When thou art far my heart is lorn, Thou all my bliss, believe but this, When thou are far. My Heart is lorn.

Dovrei sapere che parlo l'italiano ed inglesi. (I should know I speak Italian and English.)

  • No, this is not only for sopranos, it was wrote for sopranos, but sings and and tenores, and other voices ... At first tempo was to slow . Second staring at notes almost all the time not good thing , and i can tell much mistakes you did ,but they cant help you know... yeah very much things are bad, but keep up. (sry for broken english)

  • well even though it was written for sopranos it was arranged also in a lower key and at a slower tempo for lower singers. I have both copies.

  • How old was Jaime at time of this recording?

He has a very beautiful baritonal voice (not basso profondo!), well tuned.

    Bravissimo!!!

  • He's a tenor

  • You are right that he is singing in the range of tenor but if you listen to him now l know where the previous person is coming from in that his lower register sounds stronger and that is what they mean by baritonal voice. As you will know the voice does not mature until you reach your mid forties and so Jamie still has a long way to go. This video makes him cringe at how bad it was but it is here to remind him of how much he has improved.

  • In my opinion, at least listening to this video, he's NOT a tenor, but a high bariton.

  • Ah ok. Well good luck to him. Thanks for the clarification.

  • @trishignao He has nothing to be ashamed of. It is well phrased in credible Italian, and his timbre is very pretty.

  • @trishignao "...This video makes him cringe at how bad it was..."

what do you mean? this isn't bad at all

  • @rollingstonecold At the time he had not had any real vocal coaching. He sang at church and at school but choral singing is not like solo singing. Now he is studying and what l mean by cringing is that he can see how much he has improved. Although it may sound technically good that is waht it is...good. There is always room for improvement and he will in time be able to look back and realize the potential was always there to become great.

  • he sings relaxed - nice to listen to

  • Jamie was 17 when i recorded this. It was the first time that he had sung this piece. He had not had any vocal lessons but sang in a church choir but techniques employed for choral singing are so different from classical singing. Now he has developed more of a baritone sound in his lower register but he is only 20 and now sings as a tenor. He has no problem hitting the high notes but still has to find his passaggio. He started training last February and has come a long way.

  • @ArcanaMundi81 es tenor... no baritono...

  • @facundofrias

Probably now, his voice is more definite. At the time of this recording he was only 17 years old. Baritono o tenore, he has a beautiful voice.

  • This is hott.

  • such a beautiful voice <3 i love this song so beautiful!!!1

  • Cantou superbem!

  • you shold be singing tenor scores, this song is for women... sad but true

  • cool

    goog

  • very good kid

  • aghhh que bonito!!! tiene una impresionante y hermoza voz =)

  • yay that was beautiful id love to sing with you wed make a great duo :D

  • Quite impressive. You do not have quite as much strength to your voice as I prefer, but as I am a basso profondo, I to tend to have a slanted opinion. Good tones, good range. Keep it up, but work a bit on facials and dynamics.

  • You are really really good. We are singing this in choir and I absolutely love it. My choir teacher would kill to have someone as good as you in our men's choir.

  • thank you so much for posting this! i could never find the right octave in this song for my audition for all-state chior next month! this is perfect!

and you have a really good voice :)

  • oh my, this is one of my favorite performances of this song. Your voice is absolutely incredible. I wish I had a strong male voice like that in my chamber class at school. Please never give singing up. It'd be a pitty to waste a voice like yours.

    Absolutely beautiful.

  • i dont understand your shoulders...

  • Do the words "music stand" mean anything to you?

  • *facepalm*

  • me encanta como cantas, que voz mas hermosa!!

  • Ah! I'm so excited I found you singing this! Most of the girl versions I've seen on here have been too opera-ish for me and my voice. :] I'm a soprano, so I'm learning this just an octave higher. You have a beeeautiful voice! I melted a little when you started singing, haha. Keep singing!!!

  • brilliant! you have a velvet voice!

  • Yeah! Go Episcopalians!

  • wow... i lov his voice..

i am an alto.. and i have an adition in like a month and a half for a honor choir,,, and im so doing this song. thanks for the insperation!!!
