  • Those cops got fuckin murked!

  • The shoot out in "The Getaway" starring Steve McQueen is pretty good too!!

  • Contact ennemi, Engagement.

  • who thinks that luis lopez can kill the bank robbers???

  • this is for the uploader-why do you say this is HD quality when it's only a 240p vid?

  • @deadknightwarrior101 where is the bad acting? How was this unrealistic?----Since you're the one complaining, how would YOU have directed that scene?

  • DO YOU KNOW HOW LOUD THIS PART WAS AT THE MOVIES EVERY GUN SHIT BLEW A FART OUT MY ASS

  • @deadknightwarrior101 Ahh well, I don't wanna go be an full blown asshole and start some shit. But as it already seems like it. Anyways, how could you say that Rob De Niro and Pacino or the others bad acting? Well yes, there was this big flaw in the movie where Kilmer only reloaded 3 times or so. Other than that, nothing unrealistic shows up in the movie. Only a couple movie shootouts come close. Name me a movie shootout that was "realistic" in your book and don't tell me the"Matrix scene".

  • Ok, to those who are wondering what Pacino is using. It's an FN FNC 80 (NATO rounds)

Tom Sizemore is using a IMI Galil

Val Kilmer and Robert De Niro are using CAR-15 (Model 733)

The other cop who shot Kilmer in the shoulder is using a M16A2.

  • @Hypercam2vids Thanks for the info-I always wondered what gun sizemore used in this scene.

  • @211Jetsfan Lol it's on the top.

Sizemore is using an IMI Galil (fold stock)

  • @deadknightwarrior101 lol well be the 0.01% of idiots who know nothing about guns and not enjoy the movie. Obviously this is ranked in as one of the realistic and best shootouts in cinematic history. Btw "gayest" that almost defines what your age is for using a word like that. It may just be this video that makes you think that way or just watch the better one, cuz it has a better quality. Watch it from allsentientfreeman - youtube channel. And yes the reloading on kilmer's role was a flaw.

  • ça m'rappel le film la horde sauvage.

  • De Niro and Kilmer are using AR-15's?

  • 5 star wanted level :P

  • 01:50 - I wonder if Allstate will cover that one

  • oh yeah, check out the HD quality on this video

  • Amil and Larry anyone?! LOL!

  • this scene alone is better than most movies ive seen.

this full movie? well...thats another story.

  • I saw this movie ten times in the theater alone. Top five of all time. I used to look around at people's gape jawed expressions during this scene. So freaking great! And yes, I have a life. All you have to do to realize this movie's genius is go see Takers. Not the worst movie ever, but far pale by comparison to this classic.

  • thumbs up to Val Kilmer NEVER HESITATE!!!!!

  • as sikk as it getz..

  • Val Kilmer's reflexes when he first sees Al Pacino and Bubba = savage.

  • Only Al could do that perfect shot

  • ...body count...21..

  • What kind of automatic was Pacino using?

  • @apacheangel007 ... Vincent's sidearm is a Colt Officer's Model in .45 caliber with ivory grips. Neil carries an HK USP chambered in .45acp early on in the movie, and then switches to a SIG Sauer P220 in the same caliber later on.

  • @apacheangel007 .... in the shootout Vincent is using a Fabrique Nationale FNC in 5.56mm (.223 Remington).

  • L une des meilleurs fusillade filmée par le cinéma US !!!! Très réaliste bravo pour les effets spéciaux !!!!

  • And i think it was one of the best!!! scene ever!

  • That's what I call a shootout man!

  • Pour moi c'est l'une des scènes de cambriolage la plus stupéfiant de tous les temps

  • Scarface changed the sites :D , by the way HD my ass

  • Al Pacino was cold mother F## in that scene with the kid...

  • be funny parody if this was all over bunch of really smutty PORNO mags and escalated to ICBM launch on all of California and perhaps entire West Coast imagine that bunch of Generals in War Room at Colorado AFB screaming: why? why...?

    PORN; "FUCKING PORN"----ahhhhh

  • This video is far from "HD quality."

  • If that unrealistic, pseudo documentary, "The Hurt Locker" could win best picture, along with MULTIPLE Oscars, then why would the brilliantly acted, and more realistic, "Heat" not win a single Oscar? Oh yeah, air-headed Hollywood and the ephemeral political process behind the Academy (A.M.P.A.S.)/Oscars; Mann should have let a woman “direct” it. That is the Academy’s way of saying, ‘no matter how good you are we WILL discriminate based upon gender’.

  • @carsearch2001

    A-FUCKING-MEN

  • Val kilmer nice speed reload behind cover at 2:41

  • this is why the government doesnt want us owning automatic weapons. the power would be in our hands again.

  • @tennesseehighstep yes & no; POLICE dying for shootouts just like this everyday trust me--one needs an old P-51 with real .50cals to take war to them; couple straffing runs then & they will call in F-16s and you call in MIG 21s with AA missles.

All authorities dying for WAR, send them all to North Korea--they want it too.

  • what kind of rifle was Pacino using??

  • @iPodLocK3R FN -FAL .308

  • @iPodLocK3R a FN-FAL .308 ca.

  • @deltaalpha21074 You sure? It looks like an FNC 223 cal carbine to me; but to be fair the FN-FAL does appear in this movie--I think it was Tom Seizmore's weapon during the armored car robbery at the start of the movie; The FN is one flipping HUGE rifle.

  • @nickmitsialis no way look at the muzzle blast of Pacino's weapon .308 semi auto....which is total BS Doubt even SWAT allowed that power in Urban areas...Now in real life Soldiers in Columbia,South America all issued them.

  • @deltaalpha21074 Well OK; The Rifle LOOKS like an FNC (heck there's a website on Movie & TV weapons somewhere out there) ; still heck of a shoot out.

  • @nickmitsialis Actually we are both wrong looks like A GALIL an Isreali weapon still alot of firepower

  • @deltaalpha21074 Well Seizemore IS carrying a Galil in this gunfight---he gets to carry the interesting 'pieces' doesn't he?

  • @nickmitsialis Oh yeah Hollywood for sure but hey makes one action packed movie...hell watch real shootouts in Mexico Reynosa and Juarez --cool to get a Rhino or good PANHARD from US military and video real shootouts down there...auto video hardened cameras..hey thats sounds fun I'll do it any companies interested?

  • @nickmitsialis .... u are right...in the shootout scene Vincent uses a Fabrique Nationale FNC in 5.56mm (.223 Remington), police issued.

  • @DoUWanna007 are you sure its not an HK41?

  • @RyZombie619 I like tom sizemores Galil! Yeah its an FN!

  • @deltaalpha21074 Well 'normal' blanks don't always have the 'umph' to cycle a semi auto or automatic weapon so the effects people make blanks with larger than normal powder loads--hence the HUGE muzzle flashes; l actually learned that from watching 'The Dirty Dozen'

  • Yet another movie which shows why the Academy Awards have no credibility. How this movie didn't get nominated for best picture is beyond me.

  • I think it's funny that the driver of the getaway car who got killed is now the spokesman for Allstate Insurance.

  • @MegaChubbyboy that was back n those uninsured days

  • The blonde gunmen, What kind of automatic weapon is that?

  • @HerperTyler19 the blonde guy has an M4

  • @HerperTyler19 The shorter barrel of the rifle(11.5 inches vs. 14.5 inches the M4 would have IS noticable), along with the time the movie came out(1995), makes the M4 carbine not an option. The AR-style weapon used was a Colt Model 733 which can be verified by sites such as imfbd

    I hope that helps

  • This shootout scene is fucking amazing!

  • Hell yeah, I am agreed..

  • that is pure gold

  • great movie all time number one action movie for me - I guess De Niro and Pacino is the real icing on the cake :P

  • GTA IV Three Leaf Clover mission ^_^

  • @narutojutsumaster i thought the same thing, u no this is where kane & lynch came from

  • Hello what the name of this movie ?

  • Heat.

  • Are you fuckin' kiddin' me ?

  • The worlds best number one no mistake about it kicking ass music to my ears

killing acoustic all over the fuckin'lplace echo shoot out scene in the world of movies!

  • Wouldn't the cops be shooting each other?

  • this shot was taken in downtown los angeles between grand and figeroa right in front of the los angeles public librery in downtown los angeles they close the street for 4days and it loud .

like two block from this shoot was the transformers 1 the final battle was shoot in 2006 downtown is the meka for action movies. like 24; CSI.SWAT.THE italian job, and many others like it... i love downtown.

ridley scoot is filming in downtown this month on the new metro line. with will smith.

  • well its not even in HQ,

  • Oh yeah,,, and talk about artistic license concerning how many rounds a mag for an M16 holds despite semi or automatic !!!:(

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZnooose

  • GTA IV Bank Job

  • um dos melhores filmes de ação que eu vi no cinema mto bom mesmo

  • very very nice movie...but i don't realy like the end..

  • well you know what? maybe you're a 'cook sucker' who also deserves it

  • they are the bast actors ever.great movie

  • when i played the gta4 heist mission it felt like the movie heat, plain awesome.

  • I agree with disturbed fan awesome movie!!!!

  • Over rated Over exposed Over Paid and the one you have been waiting for Over the fucking hill ...Oxsanna !

  • i oculd watch this scene all day and it would never get old to me, thi si 1 of the most kickass things i have ever seen in a movie

  • One of the best scenes in the movie and definitely one of the greatest shootouts in a film ever, seems realistic.

I love the sound of Val Kilmer's M4 rifle.

  • except they rarely reload

  • You right. Actually in real life, they would've been dead a long time ago.........specially when many officers got them cornered like that.

  • well this compared to other action shooter movies this is probably the most realistic

  • from IMDB:

In June of 2002, the scene involving the shootout after the bank robbery was shown to United States Marine recruits at MCRD San Diego as an example of the proper way to retreat while under fire.

  • What type of Assult Rifle was Al Pacino using during the shoot out?

  • FN FNC

  • Assault is a behavior, not a firearm.

There's semi-automatic rifles and then there's fully automatic rifles.

I keyed this response using my assault keyboard, assault computer and used my assault brain to compile my assault letters into assault words which were carefully arranged for an assault response. Perhaps the news media will cover my assault response on their assault newscast.

  • its my favorit i love it this scene

  • Xcellent!

Wished they had made a sequel right after it's release.

Instead of giving us that trash movie called rghteous kill.

What the fuck was 50 doing besides these 2 legends?

50 keep sucking lollipops in ur own sweet candy shop u bitch :)

  • But didn't DeNiro die in the end?

  • i love the movie

  • best movie ever. the shooting sound is like real

  • the sound is is amazing

  • You want HD buy this on Blu Ray it looks stunning

  • Damn this scene is so realistic it gave it that feel u were actually there... once they digitaly remaster it for Blue Ray its gonna be even more Breath taking!!!

  • Hands down, the absolute best gunfight in Hollywood history. Three of my favorite actors of in one my favorite movies. Definitely a guy thing. *****

  • flagged for misleading title

  • Pacino rocking the FNC }:D

  • great scene, some of greatest assault weapons, nice shoot out, chaos, good build up, great actors, all around great scene.

  • one of the sickest gun fight scenes ever.

  • HD??? This ain't HD!

I'll put a HD in your mama for wasting my time, little boy.

  • WOW HD QUALITY THATS AMAZING

How did you get the original film transfers and scan them digitally at 2K for HD resolution >.> HD my ass.

  • De Niro's look like an FN-FNC...

  • wow...love scenes!

    favourite movie:)

    (L)(L)Heat(L)(L)

  • search "guns were used in the film Heat: "

    on imfdb

  • Also- the getaway car looks like the same car DeNiro drives in the start of the movie when Pacino drives him down and asks if he'd like to go get a coffee.

  • No their getaway car is a Lincoln. De Niro drives a Cadillac in the movie.

  • Whats the name of the gun that al pacino carries, i cant come up with the name for some reason.

  • it 's a belgian gun but dont know the exact name

  • looks like the same as Kilmer's- an M-16 or variant

  • Fabrique Nationale Carabine (FNC)

  • damn ,those cops got murked!

  • thee best shoot out so far! love the film!

  • hi def? in guantemala maybe.

  • best movie ever

  • epic

  • classic

  • one of my Favorite shoot out scenes

  • dude... best shoot out on film ever. bar none. Is that a M16 kilmer and Deniro have?

  • Not really its the M4 carbine a shorten version of the M16

  • Is there a difference between the M4 and the AR15?

Also, does the flash cut down on recoil?

  • I think the AR 15 is the original name for the M16 ?

  • no its not

  • AR15 is not a automatic its a semi the M4 is fully automatic though

  • It looks like Colt Commando (M733)

As far as I know the M4 wold have a slightly longer barrel.

  • in GTA IV there is a mission that is almost like this i loved that mission

  • Michael Mann IS THE SHIT

  • Who had the superior fire power as usual?

  • and you know this how?

  • A quick trip to Google or even a YT search will prove that he's right.

  • Actually, they are firing blanks there and the sounds are unedited. The cast also had to go through weapons and tactics training given by a former SAS operative. I doubt they'd go through this just to know how to move the weapons back and forth.

  • *never* reload?

    Have you been sleeping at 2:25 , 2:43 and 2:57 ?

  • although I think this is the most realistic shootout in movie history and you do see them reload but not enough, the way they fire those automatics which probably have between 15 - 20 round mags

they should be reloading constantly, thats why the army and police train with the double tap, its just more controlled

  • Double tap might be good to kill, but I don't know if it's good for suppressive fire, wich was the point of all this.

Deniro's and Kilmer's Guns have 30 Round Stanag Magazines. The other, the Galil, has either 25, 35 or 50.

  • yeah I suppose so, I guess the cops weren't spraying too much.

  • They are laying down supressing fire which you spray around to get the other guys to duck and not shoot at you so much. You're not going to "double tap" anyone at 150 metres. I agree they would reload every few seconds but thats just Hollywood I guess.

  • 30 round mags XD sorry i couldnt resist

  • Don't put "HD quality" on your video if it aint even HQ, for christs sake.

I hate it when people do this shit.

  • the best scene is "Downtown Shootout".

  • Amazing scene. Mike Mann is the man.

  • MAn! a just remember when all this shooting ...a i was at 5th st and figuero when all this happend. grat movie!

  • INCREDIBLE GREAT GREAT MOVIE

  • Eu vi esse filme muito bom em portugues FOGO CONTRA FOGO

  • woooow

  • One of the best shootout scene (and best movie) of its genre.

  • 1995 was Golden Year for action flicks here's my list in pecking order Saving Private Ryan Heat Golden Eye Desperado Bad Boys Braveheart Assasins Die Hard With a Vengeance Crimson Tide The Usual Suspects
  • Private Ryan was 98 I think

  • A .223 won't go though a car like that, didn't the LA bank robbers get the idea from this movie? they used AK 47's the will go though car doors easily.

    I love this movie.

  • .223 could go through a car door. AK47 ammo could penetrate a car door. If 7.62x39mm will penetrate, a smaller bullet like a .223 would penetrate. Also, they are likely using 5.56 NATO rounds. Which is basically .223 but slightly different. Smaller ammo penetrates better. Hence 9mm penetrates more than .45ACP. Yes the North Hollywood Shootout guys got their ideas alot from thsi movie especially when testing the LAPD response time.

  • you can imagine al saying hoo-ah at the very end when he shoots the guy

  • what movie does he say that again. i forgot

  • @Godfather: Black Hawk Down I think

  • What's with the FNC?

  • would officers even do that? chase down robbers w/ automatic guns knowing they'll get fired upon in public(and therefore endanger lives?)

why wouldnt they just let them go and catch them later, might save a few lives, y'know?

  • You would think they would show up with a SWAT team or something, especially if it's the LAPD and they're apprehending bank robbers armed with automatic weapons. I would think that the higher up guys would stay back and let the SWAT team handle it. Plus you would think the LAPD would surround the area and block off all the escape routes. Or at least have an air unit follow them. If it was real, they would not have gotten away as easily.

  • thats was my first thoughts

  • yeah but Al and his friends only noticed the rob within the last 2 minutes, and they did not have time to place al the stuff you are talking about

  • Poo Quality.

  • Bullshit fucking video, misleading in the title.

    High quality my fucking ass.

  • sweeeeeettt video dude...one of the best on youtube... but what about the guys in the car at end where they go?

  • HD for Highly Defective

  • Best shootout in Film also nice Colt Commando's 5 Stars.

  • HD my ass. This is crap quality.

  • I think one of the best shootouts in film without a doubt...

  • wow, those guns they have are really cool huh???

they can fit like 1500 shots into a 6 inch clip

  • They are using unlimited ammo hax.

  • i didn't like the end......robert de niro's character should not have died!

  • spoiler alert! lol

  • oh....sorry!

  • when does Heat (2009) comes out ?

  • It's a video game not a movie, assuming that you were implying that it was a movie.

  • What happens to Robert De Niro at the end?

  • ... dies.

  • are they usin tokyo marui or why do they own all the cops ?^^

this movie is genious, i love the shootout at the end

  • Wasn't vincent usmc? Every marine a rifleman! Rarely does my pulse go up during a scene like this but due to the realism of the robber's teamwork and vincent's fire control and marine like calm, i really got into this. the ending of this scene is a no brainer. A dad, a marine, you know he's going for the center skull shot. Awesome writing meets awesome technical supervision.
