It's motion control peripherals like this that will test gamers' true skills (hand eye coordination, motor skills) instead of sitting on their fat asses clicking little buttons like secretaries.

the only way it will test "true skill" is if this technology, at least when it comes to FPS games, is as accurate as a mouse. So far, this technology is still like wireless mouse, there's a reason why people don't use them in leagues to compete, they aren't quite as responsive as non-wifi mice, neither is this technology yet.

The latency for the dev kit used in this presentation is about 40ms, but in another vid on youtube one of their guys said razer will bring the latency down alot in the final product :)

I think if you look carefully you will see that the lag is from the computer to the projector. I watched his laptop monitor and it seemed to move as fast as he did.

PS3 is the weakest of the three systems - if you want 1080p HD go with Xbox 360 - at least there are plenty of cool games. Unless you want a blu ray disc player to watch movies - but I buy consoles to play games.

Get the Wii if you are a casual player.

The greatest problem i see in that video is the enourmous lag, something that the wiimote also struggles with in certain games. Lag is a partykiller, a no-go, a showstopper when it comes to controllers.

"oh look, I made my own wiimote" I mean, the software and graphics are just great, but c'mon, what's better in this gadget, than the already existing wiimote? The Wiimote is a few accelerometers in a plastic case. Even the MotionPlus won't give it full 1:1 response like this item has.

oh but it isn't! it's that, plus the IR camera, plus the analog and buttons. It's way more than an accelerometers in a plastic case. And anyway, it does give you full response, but it depends heavily on software; now this one here is more responsive at first sight, but it's a)far from perfect and b)it does not seem to be very natural, it's like too sensitive. I dunno, I just don't like seeing people copy stuff and claim it's better than the original, AND DENY it's a copy.

according to PAL analysts PS3 will sell 100m this gen in europe alone. PS3 is projected to sell 10-20m consoles in Middle east and other arabian countries. PS3 has a 95% marketshare there and around a 50% marketshare in the PAL region
