I'm black and have been watching this bloke for years, and sorry to my thin skinned bothers and sisters from all walks of life, but he is bloody funny as hell.
A great -Mimic- with a great sense of humor, if u can't laugh at yourself, then don't laugh at all. I wish i could mimic accents as Jim Davidson does.
He should make a return, but he would have to cut out all the racist jokes for his own safety, i love his racist jokes, i was only about 10 when i first heard the one about the black man and the sewer, "I can't find the end of the ladder!" BOOM "Found eet!" Jim Davidson is a legend in my eyes and always will be.

I saw jim along time ago in Gt Yarmouth, where he sang this. although it has been around for a very long time , for me this is the best version.

i think that jim is a bit of an asshole
but
he redeemed himself with this song
he finally did something that was real and meaningful.
even if he can't sing it was sweet of him to make the effort
so it gave me shivers like when germany won the Eurovision song contest singing about peace the same year that thatcher won the falklands war.
my second favourite version is
Tarrant on TV version, which sends shivers down everyone's spines.
