Love Summer Rental, have it on dvd. But yes, always noticed that her voice was dubbed in that scene, especially when compared to others scenes where she speaks. Maybe it was too much of a challenging line for someone so young at the time.

@colorthesky92 It doesn't matter, it is still a disturbingly bad dub.  It's clearly not Yorku's voice - lets be honest he can barely manage English - and it ain't Laurie's either. It's like the devil is speaking through them. Mom doesn't seem too fazed though so I guess she's into that.

Good movie. Awful dub. My wife and I crack up every time we see this. Didn't realize so many people caught this. If this movie was made post 2000, Yorku would probably get 10-15 for just being in the basement with the kid.

This was 1 of the most fun movies ever made! I wish the Buffett song were in his his box set.  "Take it Back" from, I think, "Wind" (good movie) is. Scully reminds me of my uncle, except Rip overdoes the pirate-sounding voice a bit much. Isn't Rip Torn the head of Men in Black? If so, wow! It was strange seeing the guy who played "Trautman", Rambo's Yoda, as a pompous, rich guy. This was a funny blooper, but God bless the poster of the whole thing. I needed a laugh!

I noticed it one time when watching this movie with a friend that something sounded really weird. You can clearly tell when you watch the movie that in this scene its not the little girls voice. Kinda sounds like a dude almost or i don't even know trying to sound like a little girl.
