Awesome. Ironically, I was standing in around this same exact position too! I was a little bit more to the right, but just as close to the stage. Great video footage! I read somewhere that the Flaming Lips were filming that night, and that they were going to release that show on DVD and Blue Ray, I sure hope that isn't just some rumor!
@1zappa Same here. That would just be a criminal act for them to not have filmed that night for a DVD / BLU RAY release. I remember that part with the disco ball. I was totally trippin' out to that. It looked like a real disco ball on stage. And that ring that goes around the outside of the screen is so wicked.
Remember when they were testing the screen before the show and how it had that bright rainbow pattern on it? I was loosing it then knowing we were going to be in for a good one!
@JCM1325 Hell yeah, that's when i knew that this was going to be one of the greatest experience of my life because only a band like The Flaming Lips can get away with covering an album like DSOTM and make it sound like their own. I'm glad to be part of this experience and from the looks of it, it's going to be a concert that people will talk about for years to come.
@1zappa I still talk about it. I got to see them again in Pittsburgh in July and it wasn't half the show that the Bonnaroo show was. The Bonnaroo performance is by far my most memeroable concert experience ever. We were lucky to be there because I think that is the last time they will ever do Dark Side of the Moon. It's definitely looking that way anyway.
Did you hang around after the show when Wayne came out to hang with us? These dickheads BOOO'd him and ran him off. That was such crap!
@JCM1325 Yeah, i saw in a interview that they did before the show that that was the last time they were going to do Dark Side, so i am SO grateful to have witnessed that.
And yeah i did see that. Steve Drozd played a lick of 'Wish you were Here' and everybody was going insane but when he came out, i was so excited cuz i thought he was going to talk to us but when left i was so sad lol. Ahh the memories...
