now having an opportunity to compare 6 year old twins and 6 year old sextuplets, you really can tell how much more mature the twins were. I guess that's kinda normal, but still interesting to watch. Anyway, that girls' photo shoot was awesome, especially Mady looks gorgeous on those pics ;)

It's not being naive, it was a huge truth that most American's do not recycle. It may be different within the past year or two, but it's still horrible as hell. (Aka, just because YOU recycle, doesn't mean the rest of YOUR country does.)

It's almost mandatory where I am. You're only allowed a SMALL amount of garbage bags a week, and everyone is expected to compost and recycle.

If you had to wash 10 dishes to wash PER meal EVERYDAY, you'd wanna use paper plates too.

That's 10 plates x 3 meals a day, or 30 plates. PLUS their plates for snacks, supper, or desert, or whatever they eat. That's a lot of plates.

Using paper plates could actually be more effective for the environment than running the dishwasher twice a day everyday. Dishwashers contributes lots of CO2 into the environment. Trees can be planted again, and paper can be recycled to make new paper plates.
