You should have made the bottom of the boat just as wide as the top is, if not, then you needed to add about 100 lbs of weight to the bottom of the boat so it would not be so unstable. Nice job anyways.

You would have been better off training some fish to tow you around the canal. It would have been faster and easier then trying to start that weed eater. good idea, but one, the design of the boat made it resist more, u needed a V in the front, not an I on it's side, two, if you're not gonna follow plans on how to make a boat then you need to make it like a pontoon to help with balance, and if possible, put on a better prop, if possible.

Crazy boat- All you guys needed was a grandpa to show you how to make a SC PEE DEE river two man fishing canoe from plywood. The one trick that would (possible) have kept the water out of your boat was PAINT.Several good coats of a heavy enamel paint. But you could have bought a rubber raft for 60 bucks- plus ingenuity of the weedwacker is good(but I would suggest a professional tune-up next time or a homelight, echo, stihl (better brand of weedwacker)). Good try-dont give up the ship

How long did this boat last after getting soaked with water? Being made of OSB, I would bet it is not usable now...probably warped all to hell after 1st try! And the reason it won't start is because the carburator is flooded from being held sideways. Back to the drawing board, nice 1st try!

Great work, classic inventiveness. I've thunk about the $4-$5 a sheet wood too, no foul there. You need to make the bottom 4 ft wide for more stability or add an outrigger, and add a bit of a turn up front for more of a planing hull type. Yes, particle board may not be optimal, but a $20 boat is nothing to complain about. :) Nice tunes at the end.
