  • sorry to hurt ur feelings bud but that aint no 4 point

  • Hmmm, is that a road?

  • @Nightmare3mo I suppose it is possible it got hit by a car but the circumstances surrounding the time if its disappearance, the gunshot and its death make it pretty clear to me. In the video, I am walking up a skid road. The nearest street is about 500 yards away

  • Sorry buddy for a rack to get white like that our has to be fired for quite sometime not days maybe months but even some of the racks I have that I have had for over a year are still not white like that one is

  • @YellowWolf187 You are absolutely correct. It does take a rack over a year to bleach and whiten.... this was not a nice brown polished rack though. He was still in velvet. When the velvet rots off it leaves the antlers all white and pithy. If I was a poacher, I certainly wouldnt take a buck whose antlers would look like that! Have a happy Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for even in these crazy times we live in! Dan

  • @gotrocksinhead This is correct, but notice the road? I HIGHLY doubt it was shot. But I doubt he's a poacher seeing how upset he actually was. Why would you poach such as small Buck?

  • If you found it the next day why does it look like it's months old there is no way you found that the next day I agree with the one of the early post your the poacher you killed it you just felt like finding someone else to blame if you are a hunter then you should know what a deer looks like the next day

  • @YellowWolf187 You are correct, it wasnt a couple days ago. Read the description.

  • you totally blow your cover with your words, a few days ago you heard a shot, yet the carcass is decomposed, the antlers are discolored and you point the camera right to it like youre some kind of hound dog, youre the poacher and you are PATHETIC

  • @ejvaughn86 The last trailcam pic I got of it was on 8-15. It died about 2 days later. I shot my search video on 9-13 and posted it on 9-14. I guess my couple days was actually a couple weeks. Nevertheless, how fast does a flock of buzzards and coyotes clean a carcass? ...days. Also, would you want to watch a vid of me walking around for a half hour?.. most people would get bored real quick! . Editing makes videos much more interesting to watch. Im not a poacher..

  • Why does the buck on the trail cam have velvet on its antlers and the kill you found a few days later been rubbed clean ,,,I smell something ,,,

  • @knoxmotorsports That dead buck is missing a lot more than the velvet! It's missing velvet, meat, guts, brains, eyes, parts of its skin.... hmmm. 'Bout all that's left is the bones and dried up skin sinews and hair. The rest has been eaten or scattered all over the area. Now what's that you're smelling? Might want to take a shower... :) Thanks for pointing it out though. By the way, Im not a poacher... That would be real smart of me to post a deer I poached! Dan

  • video 10+

  • @1000kalado Thanks

  • What a beautiful animal, it's too bad that it was wasted. Stupid idiots, first they poach and then don't even track the deer down after they wounded it. If someone's going to hunt an animal they should at least have some bloody respect. I'm all for legal and controlled hunting even if I don't hunt (except with my camera). But poachers and people who hunt endangered animals are the lowest of the low in my eyes.

  • I mean any chance at a honest trophy

  • Screw poachers, anyone whose that desperate or just dum enough to shoot a deer like that is ruining hunting 4 me and everybody else. Good luck to u in life poachers, I hope u never have another chance at a honest trophy ever

  • Apparently 3 poachers don't like what you've posted.

  • beautiful buck.... its a shame

  • They can burn in the deepest depths of hell. Poachers are lower than Shark Shit.

  • PATHETIC. This pisses me off.

  • you should go ahead and drag it on their fron lawn and leave it there

  • Its very simple treat them the way they treated that Buck kill them out of season and leave them for the buzzards being my solution. Though I can admit I'm not a forgiving man

  • i would be set up cams all around the edge

  • I hate people like diss

  • i fet the same way when we had a monster 6 and got killed by a bug that was going around in our area, 3 days before opeaning bow!!

    it sucks

  • @ishotapig That would stink too!

  • Wow that really sucks I think all poachers should get 10 years in prison and minimum hundred thousand dollars fine makes. It makes me sick. Hope someday you figure out who done this and have him prosecuted. Thanks for sharing the video have a great 2011.

  • @SHOOTERNW Thank you. Hopefully they'll get caught someday. Things have a way of coming around...

  • yea that sucks but maybe there might be another bigger one show up on your property. i know in nc a lot of ppl get caught spotlighting but i dont see what the point in spotlighting and shooting a deer is if your gonna kill a deer, kill it right.

  • @backwoodsdeerhunter I agree!

  • Sad...

I hope that buck made many offspring for you and your family to hunt in the future.

Any way you could use some trail cams to catch the poachers? I would LOVE to see a follow up video in the future of you busting them if that is what is taking place.

  • @AesculusPavia Im not sure the mystry can ever be solved unless they are caught doing it again... hmmm. It would be tough but these guys are also stealing trail cameras too. Another neighbor lost 2 of his camers in the same area. He was pretty mad! I would have been too!

  • oouuuch, some people just don't understand how we hunters feels like. why killed this nice buck. two days before opening to. this is is sick, who ever you are.

  • thats a bunch of bull crap man..that all me friends do is poach and spot light, just because there to lazy to gett up and go out and actually hunt sooo alll they do is ride 4wheelers and spot light.my friend killed a 15 point poachin.it was a main frame 8 he had a bunch of kickers beatuiful deer but it had to gooo by sum dumbass on a 4wheeler

  • @bossgobbler21 Ya, it really stinks.

  • ugh way later than two days

  • I can't even begin to guess how pissed you are!!! To do all that work and prepare for your hunting season and then have some piece of shit jackass mother fu..ing nieghbor shoot that buck for giggles. I would be out for blood of some kind if I were you.

  • @Boughtone I am very patient. Someday....

  • @gotrocksinhead It's just hard to believe that someone would just shoot an awesome buck like that and just leave it to rot. It just makes me sick.

  • its right beside the road it could have beeen hit by a car. the rile shot could have been anyone... talk to your neighbors nicely and ask them if they did it. dont show any anger. if that doesnt work ... sit them down with a bottle of whiskey and im sure they would tell you :P

  • @HuntFishTrap128 I cannot say 100% how it died because by the time I found it it was in the condition you saw. The circimstances surrounding it leave a pretty clear conclusion but getting hit by a car is another possibility. The night time gunshot, the stink within a couple days, talking to the neighbors who have also been watching it and brag about poaching, it showing up every day on the camera up till the gunshot then gone... too many things point to poaching. I do have a nice rack now :)

  • screw freakin poachers they r gay

  • It is terribly unfortunate that this happened!! This is a pathetic waste of an animal. Did you find the bullet hole in it?? I am just wondering because I could hear all of the traffic below you, and I just want you to clarify that it 100% wasn't hit by a car and ran up there and died. Not doubting you at all, but am just asking.

Did your D.E.C. le you keep that antlers since it was on your property?? Not that it matters, I just think they should be yours.

  • @hunterknapp16 I cannot say 100% how it died because by the time I found it it was in the condition you saw. I havent asked...

  • @gotrocksinhead

Fair enough sir!! And I thank you for the super fast response!! I didnt realize you had heard a shot somehow I didn't hear that part of your video. And the bragging about poaching. None the less its a terrible waste, and I wish you the best of luck this season!!

  • @hunterknapp16 Thank you and the same to you. Dan

  • Fucking trespassers and poachers. people at my cabin always go on our property but at least the dont shoot the deer. you wanna know whats funny, they walked right up to our no trespassing sign

  • I hope you can help bring those worthless human beings to justice. People like that give hunters bad names.

  • To bad some people have no respect.

  • i cant believe people would poach a deer its pathetic. i would never leave an animal that i shot what a waste of a beautiful buck. i hate people that poach animals

  • I hate poachers with a passion

  • @blacktailbuckee It's frustrating when you try to do it the right way.

  • That Sucks

  • @JcRammstein Yea it does.

  • Im sure the mulie would be happy for you to use whats left and not let anything else go to waste. What a shame...

  • @NicholasKelley111 I totally agree

  • Way sucks man. Poachers suck :( And people who can't or are too lazy to track what they shoot too. grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  • Hi Dan, cool idea with the lighter, ...oh poor animal, ...what´s about to put him in or near an ant-heap, maybe the skeletal is clear in a week or so? All the best my friend, Sepp PS: Nice you have those video from "him".

  • @Waldhandwerk It wont be long before the bones will be cleaned up and I'll go back and check it out. My father had watched him a lot but I had never seen him in person

  • VERT SAD ! A good lesson for your children to witness and pass on about this kind of greed. Just wait a few weeks and the smell should be gone then you can recover the bone and antlers.

  • @joe2trees Yeah, a real bummer... but not a total loss. At least now I'll put him to use. Yes, a very good lesson!

  • So sad this happens. I have never faulted anyone for killing an animal if it is NEEDED. But I think this animal was targeted for horns and not the meat.

I know you will find a good use for what is left.

    Take Care

  • @TheSwineSlayer I totally agree. If you NEED the food thats one thing. This was just getting a jump on the hunting season.

Its good to hear from you.

  • i agree with livinghistoryschool take what you can and turn them into usable tools

  • @timothy4602 i agree too

  • we have some jerks in this world dont we. Did you cut the horns or did you not want to mess with it?

  • @jacksoncole79 I'll wait a while till the bugs clean it up. I stuck it under a bush so noone would find it before I can get back.

  • Commemorate him with some antler tools, and bone tools, a lot of wasted meat.

  • @LivingHistorySchool Thats the plan. Yeah, what a waste!
