It's all right - it's a nice piece. What you need to do is a) work on the technical stuff. Of course, just make sure you get all the notes down correctly; practice slowly.

What you seem to be lacking more though is the way the piece is supposed to be played; the swing style. It says so in the sheet music; each set of eighth notes is played "long" - "short" to emulate the stomp style.

This is painful to watch as it has happened to us all. You did not prepare correctly for this performance. Slow, careful practice -- section by section -- with many milestones and "safe harbors" built into your memorization process.

Do you have a teacher? You need someone to help with how it's supposed to feel and sound. This piece doesn't feel good in your body unless it's played how it's supposed to sound. Trust me, I've played it.

The saddest thing is that you have done so much work...it's obvious that you have studied however in the wrong way..Apart from the mistakes you have studied the piece fast and your fingers haven't memorised the notes correctly.Furthermore you are playing it exactly as you shouldnt.Fast :-D Try playing very very slow...and with one hand at the time :-D Good job though for the try :-D

Actually, I think he did "memorize" the notes correctly, he knows what notes they are supposed to be, he just can't play them.

Tuka - Don't try practicing very slow and one hand at a time, that hardly every works for what you are doing.

You need to figure out SMALL sections at a time, listening to a recoring to hear how it's supposed to sound, and once you get the feel of the piece, it will be much easier.
