  • I struggled to get my v-amp pro to put out a sound i considered "heavy enough", but with a bit of playing around i managed to get some decent sounds out of it. Dont be afraid to really mess with these things, you would be surprised with the sound you can get out of them, especially for the price.

The only beef i have is that mine seems to have a bit of static (not guitar related either) with clean tones.

  • Any one know if the V amp pro can be connected to an amp that has no effects loop?

My amp only has, guitar jack, speaker extension, and headphone jack.

  • @OldskoolDM80s90s You can come out the line out (l- mono) and into your amp. You're running two preamps that way and some effects may not sound as good as if in the loop. But you can do it.

  • I just got my vv amp fixed to day but I'm not sticking with behringer I'm gone to try zoom. Next time you see it I broke a little pin of the adapter plug it would have cost £50.00 to buy a new one I got the solder iron to it and it works fine but I've got to say if I would have had to send it back for repair to Germany it would have cost a small fortune thats the only problem any thing gose on it it's going to cost more to get it fixed than the amp it's self. that's put me off still nice amp

  • 0:35 nice

  • Artificial is the same as pinch right?

  • It's the same

  • is this an ibanez guitar?

  • Ibanez RG320

  • does this thing sound good thru an amp?

  • It depends on your amp. I get the best results connecting it directly to a mixer or to my external sound card using the different cabinet emulators on the unit.

With a real guitar amp, you must disable the cabinet emulator (because you have a real one) and not all distorsions sound good on it.

  • is it risk free to connect it right to my sound card in my computer?

  • @swedenlinerdude Sure, just watch your input levels, closely.

  • there's a low hum in this recording, is that coming from the V-Amp too?

  • The hum comes from my CRT monitor that I used in that time

  • What kind of pc you running this direct in.

My current Dell desk isnt that compatiable and Going to buy new laptop soon. Vamp pro is what I'll be using, along with maudio

Need help which laptop to buy

  • In this video I used a custom PC with a cheap soundblaster-clone audio card.

Now I'm using an m-audio moblie pre usb, I connect the v-amp through the XLR output. There is no much difference in sound but you have more control on the input level.

  • Is this the actual amp or the pedal?

  • It's not an amp. It's a rack unit

  • that lick at :37 was so cool.

  • as I can see it was based on a C arpeggio resolving it with a skip from the lower octave to the next and then G

  • could u tell me what cable ur using?

  • nothing special. It's a cheap cable

  • what kind of guitar are you using?

  • Ibanez RG320

  • dude can you share with me the settings you use for that distortion I have one of those as well. thanks

  • It's a preset.. around bank 12-14 I guess

  • hello again fcatrin , sounds very cool , i have Behringer V- amp 2 and strat no amp though , but sounds garbage :( i don't know if this may cause guitar or device it self ? so i thought you may notice difference between v-amp 2 and pro ?

    Thank you ! :)

  • Most people have trouble setting the "mode" properly and they disable the speaker emulator or the effects without knowing it.

Can you tell me, what mode, output and input (on the PC or amplifier) are you using? Can you post a recording?

  • i use the two outlines R & L on v-amp 2 connecting them directly to AUX-IN into my SoundCard front panel (Creative Audigy2 platinum ) i use Default factor setting , but again i do NOT have any amplifier unit at all !just Behringer V-amp2 to PC Soundcard !

  • Ok, make sure you are using the S1 mode. My unit came with another mode by default.

  • el preamp a qué lo conectas?

  • directo al PC

Guitarra -> preamp -> Line in del PC.

  • did u read my first comment u moron? i said that artificial and pinch harmonics are the same! thats wat this fuking argument was about...

  • what the model of your ibanez ?

  • This is the RG320

  • Wow, you're good man...I Like that Improv. you were doing it had a real Satriani feeling to it...

  • I'm not using an amp. This video is to show the sound of the Behringer v-amp pro emulator

  • what's your amp?

  • Those are the same that came with the guitar: if I remember right they are called PS (powersound). Nothing special

  • Heey man !!! great sound !!!

i wonder what pickups do you have in that guitar

    keeo on rockin'

  • Great sound, dude. And THANK YOU for knowing the difference between artificial and pinch harmonics. You'd be amazed at how many people think they are the same. Anyway, great tone and clear, crisp harmonic sounds. Keep up the good work!

  • whats the difference>?

  • dude pinch and artificial harmonics are the fucken same! god damn u arrogant prick! u hav different techniques to do them thats all dumb shit

  • First off, I'm sorry if my comment offended you. There is no need to get angry. Secondly, there is a distinct difference in the place that a pinch and artificial harmonic can be played. An artificial harmonic can only be played in a few places along the fretboard of a guitar, while a pinch can be played on almost any fret. Also, they sound different. Not much different, mind you, but different nonetheless.

  • okay my bad for getting angry but u are still wrong... a NATURAL harmonic can be played in some places on the fretboard... wheras a artificial harmonic is made by slightly touching the string with ure thumb, thats why its called artificial, cos u use something else... pinch harmonic is like a muso slang word...

  • Are you sure? I thought an artificial harmonic is a natural harmonic that you push down to the fretboard and vibrato or bend the string behind the nut. As far as I know, a pinch harmonic is the only one that you use your thumb on, which is why they call it a pinch.

  • dude pinch harmonic is MUSICIAN SLANG! look it up in wikipedia or a dictionary... u can do artificial harmonics thhe way u described but thats just a technique... along with the pinch

  • Well, thanks for the advice. Really I wasn't thinking in harmonics when recording this. It was a complete session trying different patches and improvising. Then I cut some portions and those portions are these videos.

  • You can get better harmonics than that, fcatrin! Try raisin the gain for rectified hi-gain... it should get you screaming harmonics :)

(if you want to continue this talk, please reply directly to the comment :))

  • No, I'm using the rack version (v-amp pro) connected directly to the line-in input in my computer.

  • You using the Vamp 2X12?

  • Great sound, guy!!!
