Well technically we have adopted words based on Latin origin, as a lot of modern words stem from lanuages such as Latin and Greek and old languages like that. The English language has been influenced by many other languages, but when you look back to a few centurys ago, the actual English language was a hell of a lot different. Also the reason they are called 'Classics' is because they are enjoyable to read , therefore to many people they are not a 'joke',
The "classics" is the best literature the nation has...i am yet to find the purpose or the deptheness in any english classics.

Latin is the BASIS of the English language. Which you speak. Smooth move, there, genius.
What does American music have to do with Latin...? It's the basis of more than JUST English...

Actually, Latin (specifically, it's Old French which was derived from Latin) blends with English when the Normans conquered the Great Britain. For evidence, you can read Beowulf, where you can enjoy "purely Germanic" Old English.

Really now?? ...well, it seems you learn something new every day, in the strangest of places...I can't say I study English as thoroughly as other languages, so that's very interesting to me.
And explains quite a bit, too...the Old English in Beowulf is fairly different from the Old English I've seen in other texts...(Shakespere, for example, although I don't suppose that's a good comparison? ^^;)

The so called "old English" in Shakespears' works are actually Elizabethan English (or early modern English) which dates back into 16th century. On the other hand, the Old English in Beowulf is much older, dating back into 8th century.

But I think the law is more there as a /warning/...alot of times, if you don't tell someone /not/ to do something, they're probably more likely to do it.
And second of all- say someone /attempts/ suicide, and fails. The law's not going to throw them back into society- they're going to through them into a mental hospital. (...a money-making scheme, perhaps? Just a theory.)

Eh abit. If i am correct,you mean that they arrest the person before they do it,as there are signs for this sort of things,and as or after they are commiting suicide they can do nothing about it.
But what i meant in that post so long ago was to poke fun of the fact they can't really do anything after the person has commited suicide...unless they failed,then they can bring them to a judge.

well only thing i can say here is great song but for most comments one thing to consider is the only real thing in long term you have to look forward to is death so ending it early just takes the fun outa not knowing when you will die or how, not only that but i can understand like unturning cases yes but for those with it bad and cant see any way out there is always a way out even if you have to fight your way out its worth the fight and if you die trying atleast you had fun doing it =)

Death, in its many forms,is the easy way out for some who can not deal with the problems in their life. As Waaacrazy already said,they are weakened by the stress and amount of problems they have. What they need to do is find others that can comfort them,for they need to fix their own problems.

this song makes me think about how Jesus felt being on the cross. of course he knew it was his destiny but still, fear and pain consumed him in that time and he wished to die because who wouldn't if you were in his position?
plus death is the calm and peaceful gift given to us humans, so serioiusly we shouldnt' waste it. that's my advice i guess, think of death as a gift and fear it if you wish, but it won't change anything.
