  • Fantastic rant, but he seems like he's phoning it in when when the music starts. I love The DM, and will worship them forever, but Rod doesn't really get into "singing" until "VFW" (I guess a huge rant and "Bitchin' Camaro" are great warm-ups).

  • Thirty years later these guys rock.... pathetically liberal... but punk all the way. Like Johnny Ramone.

  • I love how I can't read 1 comment on youtube without hearing the F-bomb.

  • funny and true...sad but true

  • made this vid into a mp3 for my phone hell yea

  • The Dead Milkmen fucking rule and I love this video thank you for posting so assholes like me can add it to my favorites

  • Well done :)

  • I was the 45,000th view. Bitchin'

  • @sideshobob65 you do realize that this happened in the past...

  • @sideshobob65 for writing the thing that only eats hippies, they sure turned into hippies as they got old

  • @sideshobob65 if you like the song...and you like the artist..then perhaps you should shut the fuck up yourself and respect the artist you enjoy...

  • @sideshobob65 You do realize they can't because Joe Jack broke a string and is replacing it...

  • @sideshobob65 You clearly don't understand this band or their music; it's not just about the music, but you wouldn't understand that. I suggest you listen to music that isn't deeper than yourself.

  • The death penalty DOES work. Have you ever heard of a person put to death coming back and killing again? Nope.

Either way, awesome video dude. Love the Milkmen.

  • I love this speech. It sums up a lot of what I feel haha.

  • And that is exactly what punk rock is about, political awareness. Sadly it has been deluted over the years into a "sound". If it dosen't make me want to go out and riot, protest or at least vote then it isn't punk rock. But that is just my 3 cents...

  • I wonder if Chomsky is a Dead Milkmen fan. I think if he saw this he would be. Love you guys keep swinging.

  • Annoying, self serving rant ftw.

  • Awesome rant!

  • Rodney is my hero

  • you kids listen and learn

  • band members have a right to express their views, if shelbydondon's idea of a band is what evreyone today thinks then we have lost the definitiion of music

  • Damn what's up with all the old people on youtube ;). I'm only 16, but I've loved the Milkmen since I was a little kid. My dad got these guys records back in college in the 80s. Thanks for showing me good music.

  • @s31337m whats w all the unhip people....your welcome

  • why do they call them the cleveland indians? fuck, there ain't no goddamn indians in cleveland . at least cincinnati is correct . lot of goddamn reds in ohio.

  • loved you for years milkmen

  • Although I dig Live Footage ,,, I wish someone would just Up-load the entire " Big Lizard in my Back yard " album...... Please,,,,,,,,,,,,,,someone ?????

  • @shelbydondon uhhhhhh, why are you watching Dead Milkmen videos if you don't like bands with messages? And if you dislike something...who cares? Just don't listen to it then.

  • you're missing the point entirely.

  • he talks FOREVERRRRRRR i just want to hear the song god damnit!!

  • wow, f***** awsome!

  • oh my god its amazing to see that these guys are still touring and not all dead! what a bunch of legends, rip dave.

  • I'm 46 and the dead milkmen still kick ass

i had VFW put on my 25th birthday cake

the cake shop would not put it on so my

    women did it for me

  • Dead Milkman was my Music while at High School.... Now living back in uk its great to see them still many years after i left school

  • sentiments worth echoing.

    rise to action!

  • No matter how old I get (41), I hope I never never never never forget all that I learned from the punk rock I listened to during the 80's. (And yes, I'm passing on this wisdom to my children, ages 18 & 21)

  • what about 16? =D

  • @smedleylt im only 30

  • smedleylt

Thanks my friend, its nice to know that there are other people that have the same musical appreciation as I do,

    Paneeks

  • Joe Jack Talcum rules.

  • @sbogiam61

    He broke a string.

He had to replace the string.

Then he probably had to TUNE that string.

    Takes a bit of time.

  • hell he had time to burn one and have a beer while he was at it,oh yeah

  • _ Err, what's an open mind? _ Never mind, turn that Cristal Shit song up, dude! ;P

    Gotta love the Dead Milkmen.

  • dick freckle :D

  • As far as I am concerned, this was the most underrated band in the history of music. Buy the CD "Beelzebubba" and listen to it from S to F and you will see exactly where every penny that you spent for this masterpiece went to! The D Milkmen are not only great musicians but they have a sense of humor and that my friends is the true combination of a classic band. Its like listening to Morrissey's music without an open mind, it wouldn't make sense. This is a great video, now my Favorite,

    Rob/Boston

  • @Paneeks1960 i second that dude

  • Hey, where'd the hair go?

  • this just inspired me, thanks rodney

  • i wish i was there

    that wold have been amazing

thats the best speech/improv ive ever heard

  • great intro but if you aren't into it don't do it anymore. you guys are great. not were great. good times.

  • This show was awesome - grew up listening to these guys both on viny & tape - brings back a lot of good memories - I forgot how freaking smart Rodney is - the man is right - it's time to make a difference!

  • If your store don't have no MOJO NIXON, then your store could sure use some fixin!!!

  • che was an asshole? trying to unite latin america against getting exploited by america and all he can say is he was an asshole? he was a marxist not a communist, dumbfuck learn your shit. im sure if he was in charge he would have changed shit more than he aready did.

  • Well. he thought he was in exclusive possesion of the "truth", so much so it drove his little mind to commit murder. If that doesn't make you an asshole, then I don't what does. Che was just a man with political ambition, only just not as much ambition as your other hero Fidel. We are just pawns in all their games. Bush=Che=Stalin=Mao=etc etc

    they are all the same

  • @mrserfin1 Can you explain how different Marxism and communism are? Because last I looked, Marxism was...a form of communism...

  • Comment removed

  • yes, pray away the gay..lol.

  • You are welcome.

    I'm glad I caught it.

  • when was this? rodney sounds alot different than i remember. his voice sounds like hes been hangin out with that god forsaken jeff foxworthy :O

  • beautiful!!!!!

  • 23 years ago, these guys had something to say.

  • badass =]

  • i got a bitchin camaro! lol you guys rock!

  • Awesome!!! this made my day dude

  • someone pulled the good version of them just singing the song.

  • I wish I could be as optimistic as Rodeny is about making change. As for Joe, I am always breaking my G string. I restring my guitar 2 times a week. When it comes to bending my strings I have reached my peak.

  • I love it. I goty to outdrink Dean at the 1989 show in Da' 'Burgh.

  • I was at this show!

  • awesome
