I finally ordered a Motorola Milestone!

In the UK, so simlockfree and a QWERTY-keyboard!

For about 500 euro's that's 750 dollars

what's the default language of the milestone (the one released in germany ofcourse) ? i saw a video and it looks like german, now that's going to be annoying especially on the first boot and you would have no idea what you're reading

When you put it on for the first time, offcourse it is German.. After that you can put Android 2.0 in 26 languages: Chinese Dutch English French German Italian Japanese Korean Polish  Russian Spanish

For a price of 481 euro's..

But you have to pay 1 euro in the shop itself and have to sign a contract for 24 months (20 euro / month) and you need a German bankaccount for this reason...

So I'm gonna try to buy 3 or more Milestones, but I think I'm unlucky.

The pricing... I haven't got any clue at the moment. Have to wait for the retail prices of the Milestone. In Germany that is 481,- euro... they say, we have to wait! The GSM-version supports: WCDMA/900/2100, GSM 850/900/1800/1900! And in Europe we use QWERTY =) Only (that stupid) Germany uses QWERTZ!

Adobe will release Flash 10 in Q1 2010 for all mobile device: Android / Windows Mobile.

So than we can update the Droid / Milestone with Flash 10!

You pay $199,- dollar for the phone with Verizon? (what is a 99,- dollar rebate?) and then? You have to sign a contract for two years with them? What do you pay montly and how is it split? Messages / minutes/ internet and so on?

Actually from what I read, it's $299 from Verizon with a $100 rebate. Meaning you mail them proof of purchase and they'll mail you (in this case) a debit card with $100 on it. Companies do this in the US gambling on the fact that many people will either be too lazy to mail it in, not follow instructions, or their rebate will get lost in the mail. That is, instead of just taking $100 off the phone initially.

On most carriers, 450 "anytime" minutes + 1500 text + unlimited data runs $80-$90 USD.

Haven't got any clue at the moment. It's gonna be released on the 9th of November in Germany and Italy (that's only three days) but the date in The Netherlands hasn't been named. In Germany you have got the QWERTZ version that nobody wants and I can't go to Italy to buy QWERTY ones =) I think they are gonna be unlocked but we have to wait for that final answer. In Germany Vodafone is gonna sell them in first instance, so I don't know if they put a lock on it..

I don't know when the GSM version will be released in America and I don't know IF it's gonna by released in America. This movie shows the GSM version that's going to be relaesed in Europa and that will be on the 9th of November (in Germany and Italy) It costs about 480 euro's / $700 for the telephone WITHOUT any contract.. i hate american frequencies! they are the only ones to still use CDMA and since everything goes there first, i have to wait a long time to get new phones.
