Toyota does import cars from Japan for the Lexus and Scion brands, everything else is sourced right here in the United States, and comes from small business owners as other US based companies. When the first Lexus model came out in '89 it was so refined that MB had to make some last minute changes to their models to compete with the Lexus. The MB came rushed to the market and didn't offer any of the features of the Lexus. Just some food for thought.

Lexus is stingy amongst their own models with sharing technology. The LS gets all the innovative technology. Car makers adopt LS technology and use it in their not necessarily luxury vehicles. Lexus should be ashamed that a Ford Explorer can parallel park itself, but a Lexus ES350 Ultra Luxury model cannot.

the fourth generation LS (current) was first introduced as a concept in Fall 2005. The fifth generation ES (current) was introduced as a concept in Spring 2006. Both the current LS and ES were available in late 2006 as 2007 models.

@arajput23 If looking at the M37, check out the deluxe touring package in Java, it's absolutely beautiful. The quality makes BMW and Mercedes look like cheap plastic. believe me, i know cause i cross-shopped and ended up buying the M37 for it's unmatched interior. You spend all ur time inside the car... make sure you like it. Also, the functions r super user friendly, not to mention it's music hard-drive... i no longer carry CD's or and ipod!
@arajput23 Also.. i really love the air-condition seats... they're not just ventilated they are COOLED. also love the forest air feature, it purifies cabin air and monitors humidity, not to mention it automatically recirculates when it detects bad air outside (like smog). I don't know of any other car offering all this as of yet. in the winter, heated seats & steering wheel are nice too... and it has bose audio with noise cancellation. if u wanna see how effective that it, check it @a bose store
From the side view it seems to have retained the GS shape ... but from an all around POV ... it looks like an updated Audi from the front (grill and led headlights), a GS from the side and a BMW from behind (tail lights). The GS Double headlights and taillights signature is lost now with this design ... hmmmm!!! Someone got lazy in the design room I guess ...

This is the most BEAUTIFUL sedan in its class..... wow im really diggin it. So smooth, elegant and sporty all at the same time.
Lexus makes wonderful cars. This new GS inside and out is just awesome... it even has an interior inspired from the LFA . . . talk about awesome. Its the lightest in its class and will prob get the best MPG.
I really like the new direction that Lexus decided to take. I used to dislike Lexus for a while, but after owning a few of their vehicles and growing up in a Lexus family, I think I've been converted. :D

I hate this. You build a great performing quality car for a good price and then wrap it in plain skin. Though I am not a fan of Hyundai, even they have a better sense of what is appealing. Mercedes/BMW/Audi = Beautiful car, not very reliable. Lexus = great quality, Zero passion. Your designs are not ugly, they are forgettable. It's sad, you should be better.

When the first Lexus model came out in '89 it was so refined that MB had to make some last minute changes to their models to compete with the Lexus. The MB came rushed to the market and didn't offer any of the features of the Lexus. Just some food for thought.

Lexus is stingy amongst their own models with sharing technology. The LS gets all the innovative technology. Car makers adopt LS technology and use it in their not necessarily luxury vehicles. Lexus should be ashamed that a Ford Explorer can parallel park itself, but a Lexus ES350 Ultra Luxury model cannot.

the fourth generation LS (current) was first introduced as a concept in Fall 2005. The fifth generation ES (current) was introduced as a concept in Spring 2006. Both the current LS and ES were available in late 2006 as 2007 models.
You have me mistaken. I own a 2007 ES 350 Ultra Luxury. But, I don't like the fact that I can be out done by a Volkswagen Golf when it comes to park assist. Whether people use it or not, it's a luxury. It's a luxury lacking in the ES 350 @Neno8403 @Neno8403

@arajput23 If looking at the M37, check out the deluxe touring package in Java, it's absolutely beautiful. The quality makes BMW and Mercedes look like cheap plastic. believe me, i know cause i cross-shopped and ended up buying the M37 for it's unmatched interior. You spend all ur time inside the car... make sure you like it. Also, the functions r super user friendly, not to mention it's music hard-drive... i no longer carry CD's or and ipod!

I don't know of any other car offering all this as of yet. in the winter, heated seats & steering wheel are nice too... and it has bose audio with noise cancellation. if u wanna see how effective that it, check it @a bose store

From the side view it seems to have retained the GS shape ... but from an all around POV ... it looks like an updated Audi from the front (grill and led headlights), a GS from the side and a BMW from behind (tail lights). The GS Double headlights and taillights signature is lost now with this design ... hmmmm!!! Someone got lazy in the design room I guess ...

I like what they did with the exterior. The interior design seems outdated or it will be very soon. I was waiting for a great looking GS and I think they delivered it on the exterior...but it will keep me from buying one because of the interior. The only thing that was impressive to me in the interior was the 835-Watt stereo system (I would still have to see how it sounds). My personal ranking: 9/10 (exterior); 4.5/10 (interior).

This is the most BEAUTIFUL sedan in its class..... wow im really diggin it. So smooth, elegant and sporty all at the same time.
Lexus makes wonderful cars. This new GS inside and out is just awesome... it even has an interior inspired from the LFA . . . talk about awesome. Its the lightest in its class and will prob get the best MPG.

I really like the new direction that Lexus decided to take. I used to dislike Lexus for a while, but after owning a few of their vehicles and growing up in a Lexus family, I think I've been converted. :D
