Not really being scared, but FWD has the clear advantage in winter conditions over RWD. The advantage of a 2WD truck over a RWD car is (1) Ground clearance. You can load the back of a truck and have lots of clearance to spear. (2) Stronger suspension. A truck can take more weight with the torque and power to pull it. Cars usually has softer suspensions, and putting a load in the back makes the car lower and more likely to nick or scrape on bumps/potholes.
