@ChevysphinX no. i replace the seal so i dont have to mess with it later. and i made a l shape plate to hold the solenoid filter in place. all stock. well except for the cams. still good on gas. i get 23 avg and i leave the car on idol alot. probably a hour a day and i don't drive much each day.

HAHAHA, i had the same thing, i have a 99 deville with a little under the hood, and i was at a light and some kid with his GF in the car (svt focus) thought he was cool, said nice old mans car... im sure he liked the flowmaster note when i was about 6 car lengths ahead of him... I hit the next light red, he got there on green, and i was from a stop pulling on him... Histerical..

sweet race, no surprise there, I'm a fellow northstar racer, My aurora is pretty much a beast and has most cadillacs beat up to the cts and eldorado. all in all not bad motors. poor malibu didnt stand a chance.

Is your Aurora stock? I raced a 1st gen Aurora in my 2001 Seville and beat him.

for the most part it is, aside from a few cooling mods. the only seville that has ever beat the aurora was an STS the SLS doesnt. But if you had the STS than yeah you would probably take an aurora.

Stock to stock, any properly running 5th gen Seville ('98-'04) should be able to pull on a 1st gen Aurora. I raced one in my SLS and it was a decently close race, but I got about a car length on him. Then again, I seem to have no trouble beating all the other Northstar Cadillacs for some reason. I raced a 4th gen Seville STS and beat him. It was a very close race, but I pulled.

Secondly, consider the technical aspects of the 1st gen Aurora and the 5th gen Cadillac Seville SLS: They're both similar-weight luxury sedans, weighing in around 3900-4000 lbs. Second, they both have the same drivetrain layout (FWD, 4-speed auto, etc). Ultimately, it comes down to the engines. Both cars weigh pretty much the same, but the Aurora in stock form is weaker at 250 horsepower, while the SLS has 275, and the STS has 300.
