needs a new fuel pump for sure. also change the fuel filter. if you can get a new gas tank. spectre makes new tanks for almost all make and model cars. they are only 100-200 bucks. if your keeping the car a while its a good thing to change. the tanks get pretty nasty inside over 40 years. good luck, i like the videos...
take it out yourself and take to rad shop to boil out and test. most of the time those leaks are from the gasket for the sending unit pickup. but since your tank is not full it would seem like a hole, sounds like the shop pulled a congress on you and ripped you off. bastards.. from what i know they dont split those they patch the hole . ive done that myself on gas tanks, braised the hole. anyway goodluck fox..pun intended
that sucks, i sold mine but i had that problem with no fuel going to the carb, i replaced all the filters and that didnt fix it, so i replaced the fuel pump and that problem never came back for me.
