  • amazing performance, iv been to DRC and i can tell you if you have never been you cannot appreciate how fucking HOT it is there, the stamina it takes to perform like this for hours in amazing

  • Holy shit fuck no possible... this man is PURE funk I love funk holy fuck I have never seen this performance fuck fuck I love it.

  • AMAZING!!! Also I always trip out seeing James Brown always has 2 drummers and bassist not to mention the rest of the almost 20 other bend members.

  • at 1:36 i can see some dj like grandmaster flash backspinning & cutting the hell out of that part

  • Is this on a DVD or something?

  • Famous Flames were Better sounding & way Tighter this band is just ok not the Flames.

  • JB = Genius. Drum break @ 1:36.... Serious Pocket.

  • JB the sapping turtle of R&B!

  • Hit my channel for hundreds of glorious funk nuggets.

  • John Morgan is the drummer. I have the uncut version on CD where James gives props to "Sweet " Charles Sherrell (on bass) and John Morgan (drums). I have no idea why they edited the drum and bass solo?

  • I don't know if I could have survived in the 70s with those tight a** pants. What happened when you got an erection? I love James to death though!

  • @marcwil01 oh snap! I just noticed the "GFOS" on his top. Godfather of Soul with the customized clothes!

  • great sound! JB in his prime!

  • DRUM BREAK @ 1:36!!!!!!!

  • so bad ass dude lol

  • whos the drummer there!?

  • @h1ph0p1

    Looks like John "Jabo" Starks!

  • @TheAdvancedMusic are you sure?!?! he looks kinda skinny to be jabo.......

  • soul bro no 1...

  • Also, at 1:05 he goes into 'I Can't Stand It', which was originally 'I Can't Stand Myself. Notice that here too he changed the arrangement drastically by adding horns to the track. There wer no horns on the original single, just guitars & organ.

  • James Brown was always changing arrangements on his songs, and notice the really different arrangement here of the famous 'Cold Sweat' horn riff. Instead of the original 'do DOO do, do DOO do' the riff is 'do DOO do, do do do do do do. I like it!
