The thing you failed to realize, and what is central to why they are "all the same", is that they are all musical artists that are VERY marketable to basically the same audience -- or the target consumer: teens. The music industry is a system that produces a package for profit and a lot of it is the same stuff packaged a little differently. That being said, there are a lot of better artists out there of the same genre music who do not conform to the same money making paradigm of the top artists.

Was in a church the other day since it was close to work and they sold coffee along with tshirts and other religious paraphernalia (guess they skipped that part where Jesus said my house will be a house of prayer, not a den for theives) and noticed a shirt that read "Megalife through Prayer". Now it wasnt the substance of the message but the font. Megalife was in the same font as the metal band Megadeth and Prayer in the font of the band Slayer. The thing you failed to realize, and what is central to why they are "all the same", is that they are all musical artists that are VERY marketable to basically the same audience -- or the target consumer: teens. The music industry is a system that produces a package for profit and a lot of it is the same stuff packaged a little differently. That being said, there are a lot of better artists out there of the same genre music who do not conform to the same money making paradigm of the top artists.

You should realize that a university degree does not make you smarter than someone without a university degree. You are not smarter than everyone who doesn't have a university degree. You are not above them. You look up to Jesus, right? Well to some people, Marilyn Manson, Michael Jackson and Britney Spears are what they may consider Jesus. You don't have a right to look down upon that if you yourself are doing somewhat of the same thing.

An Arts degree does not in any way, shape or form consist of "doodling" or playing with "playdough", it is a degree in economics, politics, RELIGION, english, history etc. Also thanks a million for correcting my spelling/grammar but when one says that one is a PRACTISING roman catholic it is spelled P-R-A-C-T-I-S-I-N-G. Well done on distinguishing the difference between an "science major" and the arts. People like you are whats wrong with the world.

Actually I don't have a college degree, I have a university degree. Here's a clue, your engineering degree sounds more like a science major than the arts. i remain neutral with marilyn, nothing against him, not supporting him. He does however have a few songs i enjoy. I'm not a death metal fan, i just like music in all it's form, incidently bach cello solo suit 1 prelude is another of my favourite.
The problem i have here is LIES! you lied in the tittle, you create lies (more in the line of wrong assumptions) It is a sin to lie. Even for a greater good. The lesser of two evil does not make it right.

Was in a church the other day since it was close to work and they sold coffee along with tshirts and other religious paraphernalia (guess they skipped that part where Jesus said my house will be a house of prayer, not a den for theives) and noticed a shirt that read "Megalife through Prayer". Now it wasnt the substance of the message but the font. Megalife was in the same font as the metal band Megadeth and Prayer in the font of the band Slayer. Why you christians always trynna be so sneaky?

Because they "know" that they're 100% right and must convince everyone at all costs. Would that be an accurate description, mr. gangsta? The only problem is their certainty isn't based on any falsifiable evidence, so instead of heroes warning us about our doom they come off as annoying, condescending, shameless, and sneaky to those of us who aren't persuaded by ancient literature and scare tactics.
