A correction to what I posted below, the band are now selling the album on amazon.com, if you search for theocracy on amazon.com you'll find it available for $9 + shipping, (directly from the band).
@metalmaster29 To tell the truth, I don't know how to download whole albums for free legally, haha. If you're willing to pay money, I say use iTunes to download the album. If you want it for free. . . .
@Arkatox The label it was released under went bust, the only way to get it legally now is straight from the band or second hand. (there is a hope that this will be changed at some point)
@Arkatox There may be a copyright issue or something, I don't know, however, the band have 100+ discs left, so it's not too hard to get a copy if you want one.
@metalmaster29 For this album legally, you have to contact the band directly, the label they released their first album with has gone bust, but the band has about 150 copies of the disc left, if you google theocracy music you'll find their website, if you go on the forum their, the person in charge of selling their cds has the username: athensbum.
64jowii, you'd rather listen Symphony X , Dream Theater, Vanden Plas than the hypocritical unblack metal. If you want positive and creative thoughts and not basic screaming violence.
@64jowii You'd definitely like Dream Theater or Symphony X, then. Yes, this is an old comment but I figured you might want to look into them if you like progressive stuff.
@Bluelightning110188 are they christian, I only listen to christian metal. It would be nice if they were because I need more bands to listen to. I listen to Theocracy,Demon Hunter, Rob Rock(and all his bands), Pyramaze, Stryper, Narnia, As I Lay Dying, Agust Burns Red,Sacrecy.
@64jowii No, actually. Dream Theater has clean and positive stuff, though (as long as you stay away from the Train of Thought album). They are all family men with wives and kids and try to keep a postiive message. Symphony X has more darker themes but a curse word has never been uttered in their lyrics. They do have some religious stuff, though, it's mostly based on historical pieces of literature. They include a lot of classical elements in their arrangements, too.
@Bluelightning110188 Dream Theater cusses too much if you ask me. Not in the songs as much as in their own personal lives. If you watch the Systematic Chaos DVD, you'll see what I mean. I went to a Dream Theater concert and Labrie was dropping F-bombs everywhere.
@Christianrockrockz I have that DVD, actually. Yes, they do curse quite a bit, especially Mike (who actually left the band last October.... ¬.¬) But the discussion was about the music, not the musicians themselves.
@Bluelightning110188 Well they do cuss in their music. The S word in Six degrees of Inner Turbulence, S word in Honor thy Father (I think an F-bomb in there, too). I just want a band that praises God that doesn't contradict their faith in their personal life. I believe that cursing is a sin. Some people disagree, but I'm sticking with what I believe.
@64jowii You should broaden your horizons past Christian rock and metal. While a lot of it is not very appropriate, you'll find quite a few bands out there that have some good clean stuff that doesn't suck. Transatlantic is another one. It features the drummer from Dream Theater. I recently found out that the latest album actually deals with how God views man and ultimately wants man to acknowledge him in the end. The singer is actually a Christian, which I also found out recently.
@64jowii Oh, yeah. Transatlantic's latest album is actually one song that lasts 80 minutes. It's awesome! The other guys aren't Christian but were obviously ok with the lyrical content and message within the song.

I like this band but to be honest this song is pretty stale. Besides nice Godly lyrics, there's nothing melodic or creative musically that makes this song stand out.
maybe that's how they wanted the song to sound, read the lyrics and think about it. it's not a happy song, it's not meant to sound melodic or anything like that. i think the song really sets the mood of the subject
Im a sick man rotting slowly Spiritual leprosy Im a captive crying out Tear the chains and set me free Help me, save me Take this guilt away from me Hear me, take me back to where I was before the fall Wash me, cleanse me See what has become of me Trying on my own I failed so I now come crawling back to you I've fallen
I am a sinner, even though I don't want to be. Forgive us, Lord. I just did a sinful thing a few minutes ago. Please forgive me Lord.

To answer KeusFrenchs Question,
This album is composed, sung, played, and drummed by the lead singer. Theocracy was a one man band before Mirror of Souls{album}
But yes its the same singer.
Crossfray 1 year ago
This singer sounds a bit different than the one in the mirror of souls album. his voice sounds deeper. is it just me? or is it someone else?
KeusFrench 1 year ago
I lik this band one of my favs probably because most of there songs are pretty long especially Mirror of Souls 23 min.

@64jowii Hello.
I know this was a year ago.
But Assuming you're still into Christian Metal... There are plenty of bands to find.
I hope you like thrash. There are plenty of thrash bands in the Christian Metal genre.
Thrash Bands: Deliverance, Vengeance Rising, Tourniquet, Once Dead, Ultimatum, Heaven's Force
Death Bands: Mortification, Crimson Thorn
(un)Black Metal: Antestor
Power Metal: Messiah Force (disbanded)
Doom Metal: Trouble (early)
Megadeth has a bit of Christian stuff they put out.
