@cluny complications brought about by British Inheritance Tax, maybe he would have had the capacity to look out for his interests and the legacy of his Godfather, instead of philandering with loose women. But that's neither here nor there. Instead he squandered his inheritance and left the remaining benefactors with next to nothing, giving them little chance of acquiring sound legal advice, let alone the potential to sue for copyright infringement before the Statute of Limitations was up. A bit
@cluny I don't use Wikipedia and don't respect anyone who does. What are you twelve? Get your references from books, remember books? And everyone knows that T.S. left the whole of his estate to his Godson Lawrence in Nineteen Hundred and Sixty-Five, upon his death. Because Lawrence was of British stock and a citizen of the United Kingdom, the estate in question was subject to Her Royal Highness's Inheritance Law. Now, if Lawrence was an individual who wasn't so prone to vice, not to mention the
@keepcalmycarryon A large number of articles are simply made up of information taken straight from BOOKS and dumped onto a single page. If you scroll to the bottom of the page you will notice cited sources. You know, books?

@ Constantine Robbins how can you just make a cloudy statement on youtube as if we all don't have internet and can't check it to see that what you said is clearly false and biased?
@ConstantineRobbins who gives a shit! have you not heard of setting poems to music before?? loads of Artists do it! And does it matter?? Does it make this song any less awsome?!!?!
@ConstantineRobbins Really? Have you got a reference, because I can't find the poem that you're talking about. I think this comment is a classic case of bullshit.
The track itself is great, but the synth intro at the beginning is waayy out of tune, it sounds horrible, especially after being used to the Eruption version. Get rid of that synth keyboard and it would be perfect.
i love this organ-type thing that comes after "against my window". little things that make much feelings/emotions, something that doesn'T exist in todays' music
why everytime someone looks up a old song they gotta comment ...OH IT CAME FROM THIS SONG FROM THIS RAPPER...or... OH THIS RAPPER SAMPLED IT .....SO WHAT!!!!...JUST ENJOY THE REAL MUSIC THAT IT ORIGINATED FROM!

This is one of the best music I ever heard. No doubt. I listened to the great composer, name it, and I probably know the artist, or the song. This song has everything. Excellent.
I just read it, Avon53 (I have the Wolfgang's Vault newsletter sent to my e-address each week). You're right, it's a great article and even though this is in my personal Top Ten all-time favourites I just couldn't help myself but click the link (to hear the track for the millionth time.....It still sounds as fresh as when it was released................though Lowell George's interpretation takes some beating !).
Nice to meet another Wolfgang/Crawdaddy reader and listener.

There's quite an article about this song at the online music magazine Crawdaddy, 2/09/2010, and it links to this video.
What a story there is behind this - and the cover versions by everyone else are a whole 'nother story in addition.
