I don't get it. this epic song is part of Bent out of Shape album with Joey Lynn Turner as the vocalist. But why there's Dio song in this album. Anyone enlighten me please. Thanks. This song absolutely is not for JLT
Because Ritchie wanted to play that song? Heck, if you're gonna ask "Why is a JLT singing a Dio-era song live?" wouldn't you really be wondering why Dio sang "Mistreated" live quite often with the band...
I believe they are Seymour Duncan qauter pounders. That's what they used on the original Fender Ritchie Blackmore Stratocasters that were released many years ago.
no no i was saying that i prefer blckmore, over paige or hendrix, AND the sensless shreders, AND dont include masters like paige in senseless shreders. (yeah ramosrr333 is my other account he he, i was to lazy to sign onthat one) but yeah
@ramosrr333 Page a "senseless shredder"? I think you should re-evaluate that. Listen to any of his intricate guitar arrangements and what you find is a real architect at work!
@sunboyfun I think he was referring to senseless shredders separately as in Hendrix, Page, and senseless shredders. Just a hunch. I happen to agree with him and you, for that matter. We'll never see the likes of Page or Blackmore again.
It's hard to tell from this youtube vid, I gotta admit after watching this again just now I thought it really were Blade Pickups.
Now I put in my DVD of this concert and it's still hardly noticeable but both pickups got small, flat pole magnets. They seem to be black and don't reflect the light so well. I had to play it slowmotion but I can tell you for sure they're singlecoils.
Phew, hope you don't get offended or anything by this long post, Marry Christmas!
Yes, also in the "Come Hell Or High Water" DVD the track called "Beethoven" is "Difficult To Cure". Maybe Gillan didn't allow Ritchie to use the real name, because it's a Rainbow track
Awesome! Wahoo!! Ritchie Blackmore's picking/soloing is superb. He makes it look easy...and any keyboardist that can keep up with such intense, fast guitar playing is excellent too. 'Bent Out of Shape' was my fav Rainbow record. Great singing.

Anyone with me on Dio being much better than Joe Lynn Turner? I think Joe Lynn Turner is terrible and Dio is a god among men.
Yarsh52 2 years ago
Dio is better for me also, but Lynn Turner rocks as well!

blackmore is a true guitar legend
ramosrr333 3 years ago 40
I personally prefer Blackmore as well, but just to let you know - Blackmore is more virtuous than those two and none of them is senseless shreder...

kashmir1976 3 years ago
yea, and he is not using the schecter f500t singlecoils but some hotrails, maybe bill lawrence
TheEmoEmoEmo 3 years ago
The certainly look like normal singlecoils (small magnets and such). So who knows what they are?
kashmir1976 3 years ago
no no:), the middle pickup is a dummy, blackmore never use it, but the neck and bridge pickups looks like hotrails
