  • RITCHIE BLAKCMOR'S RAINBOW - FOREVER!!!

  • rosenthal & blackmore... awesome!

  • why is this song so under rated?

  • Blackmore is awesome, Turner rocks!!!!!

  • D++++++++

  • GreaT Voice......

  • It is very clear that Turner does not have a voice as good as Dio or Bonnet.

  • turner for RAINBOW dio for sabbath.

  • 2:40 -- the battle rages on

  • @prezesdrums I was listening to the studio version earlier and thought that! Glad to see I'm not alone in this :P

  • Mamma mia!

  • One of the best vocalists eveeeeeerrrrr!

  • Finally some Old School Heavy Metal!

  • aku bola bali ngrungoke lagu iki. Rainbow pancen apik tenan

  • Never heard of this song. What album is it from.

  • @Drumguy1988 It's from Bent Out Of Shape.

  • great band!

  • Great band! Ritchie is genius!

  • Wow, what a wonderful ending!!! Blackmore is a genius!!

  • I don't get it. this epic song is part of Bent out of Shape album with Joey Lynn Turner as the vocalist. But why there's Dio song in this album. Anyone enlighten me please. Thanks. This song absolutely is not for JLT

  • Because Ritchie wanted to play that song? Heck, if you're gonna ask "Why is a JLT singing a Dio-era song live?" wouldn't you really be wondering why Dio sang "Mistreated" live quite often with the band...

  • Joey lynn missed his cue. NO SOUP FOR YOU !!!! Ritchie Blackmore is the freakin man, man !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone with me on Dio being much better than Joe Lynn Turner? I think Joe Lynn Turner is terrible and Dio is a god among men.

  • Dio is better for me also, but Lynn Turner rocks as well!

  • no he aint that bad...everyone has a bad show...they are very different in styles. Its just a matter of who YOU like better I guess.

  • ironically the word 'dio' is the italian word for 'god'

  • I know, that's pretty funny.

  • @teo2712 In spanish, the word "GOD" is "DIOS"

  • This song kicks ass, plain and simple.

  • i think the pikups is either Bill Lawrence

L-250 L-450 or XL-450. all are hotrail tpe pickups ::)

  • I believe they are Seymour Duncan qauter pounders. That's what they used on the original Fender Ritchie Blackmore Stratocasters that were released many years ago.

  • blackmore's using a scalloped guitar

    :D

  • i have always prefered ritchie blackmore over hendrix, paige or any of those virtous senseles shreders

blackmore is a true guitar legend

  • I personally prefer Blackmore as well, but just to let you know - Blackmore is more virtuous than those two and none of them is senseless shreder...

  • no no i was saying that i prefer blckmore, over paige or hendrix, AND the sensless shreders, AND dont include masters like paige in senseless shreders. (yeah ramosrr333 is my other account he he, i was to lazy to sign onthat one) but yeah

  • Indeed

  • @ramosrr333 Page a "senseless shredder"? I think you should re-evaluate that. Listen to any of his intricate guitar arrangements and what you find is a real architect at work!

  • @sunboyfun I think he was referring to senseless shredders separately as in Hendrix, Page, and senseless shredders. Just a hunch. I happen to agree with him and you, for that matter. We'll never see the likes of Page or Blackmore again.

  • @ramosrr333 you sir, are my new favourite person.

  • @ramosrr333 +1 x ∞! \m/

  • @ramosrr333 YES,MAN,RITCHIE IS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER!!!CHEERS!!!

  • is turner drunk? :D misses the beginning

  • I saw this version of Rainbow at the Bristol Hippodrome.

  • Anyone noticed, Ritchie's using a small headstock strat ;]

  • yea, and he is not using the schecter f500t singlecoils but some hotrails, maybe bill lawrence

  • The certainly look like normal singlecoils (small magnets and such). So who knows what they are?

  • no no:), the middle pickup is a dummy, blackmore never use it, but the neck and bridge pickups looks like hotrails

  • It's hard to tell from this youtube vid, I gotta admit after watching this again just now I thought it really were Blade Pickups.

Now I put in my DVD of this concert and it's still hardly noticeable but both pickups got small, flat pole magnets. They seem to be black and don't reflect the light so well. I had to play it slowmotion but I can tell you for sure they're singlecoils.

Phew, hope you don't get offended or anything by this long post, Marry Christmas!

  • the solo on this song is amazing!

  • More black than purple. Ritchie power.

  • Has JLT come out of the closet yet?

  • No, is "the battle rages on" that seem this. Fire Dance is '83, "battle" is '93 ^^

    Beautiful song =)

  • Yes, also in the "Come Hell Or High Water" DVD the track called "Beethoven" is "Difficult To Cure". Maybe Gillan didn't allow Ritchie to use the real name, because it's a Rainbow track

  • one of the riffs on dat song sounds like the battle rages on

  • Awesome!!!!! Blackmore rules!!!!!

  • Hmph, Turner's a good singer but he just can't beat Dio when it comes to performing live...

  • Most underrated Rainbow song.

  • amen

  • So true. No surprise Blackmore used the interlude as main riff for "The Battle Rages On".

  • Awesome! Wahoo!! Ritchie Blackmore's picking/soloing is superb. He makes it look easy...and any keyboardist that can keep up with such intense, fast guitar playing is excellent too. 'Bent Out of Shape' was my fav Rainbow record. Great singing.

  • Superb!

    Long live to Ritchie Blackmore!

    Kind Regards.
