  • Reminds me more of kabuki, Geisha are more precise, they use extreme white, they use wax under their makeup. I study geisha, I enjoy your character, and the video is not bad, but not a geisha.

  • @MsWanderer3 I know. However, not many people would watch the video if I put kabuki or nihon buyo. If it would make you feel better, I can put an annotation at the beginning to let people know. Also, I made this mostly for Halloween and dress up purposes, not necessarily informational, which is why I gave the alternative of using clown makeup and lipstick.

  • @AshNight1214 Im not trying to offend, I like your videos. I think they're cool. Tough love? Sorry if I offended.

  • @MsWanderer3 No offense taken. :)

  • @MsWanderer3 how????

  • @234fiola Maybe when you like something so much, you become a big critic. Sorry if I offended.

  • @MsWanderer3 @234fiola I do the same thing. I took Japanese dance for 10 years. When people think Memoirs of a Geisha is correct, I get pretty defensive. XD

  • @AshNight1214 LOL it was a good romance story, but its accuracy kills me. :)

  • Thanks for sharing! I just starting learning Japanese dance so can you tell me the name of those make-ups and which brand you're using? Thanks a lot.

  • @stenellak That's great!! I used MaxFactor Panstik and Pan-cake (no, 121) for the base and beige component and the oshiroi (the white compressed powder) you have to find at either a specialty store or directly from Japan. Depending on your teacher, they may tell you to do something else (my sister experienced that) but this is to get the basic look. Your teacher probably has the grease paint, blush, and other stuff. Good luck! I'd love to hear how you're doing and liking it! :)

  • can you please make a video to show how to do calligraphy or dance

  • @jasminstar11 Unfortunately, both are out of my talents and the latter is difficult to teach. I might post some obon dancing with steps, but as far as classical dance, it's hard enough to do with years of training, much less without. Sorry!

  • thank you so much for making that video it makes so, much more since now I have always wondered why people were putting a bunch of really bright make up on and then the real Geisha's were not. :> you did an amazing job.

  • @SpiveyKochou I completly agree with you some people are pretending and getting it all wrong

  • Awsome job!! Everything is so well explained! And the end result is so lovely and natural!
