Gamespot was my favorite website from 2006-this moment. Gamespot was the shit and On the Spot was hilarious every show with Rich Gallup, Jeff Gerstmann, Ryan Davis and Alex Navarro. There was no reason to watch On The Spot anymore after Alex left. They were the reason why I'd watch every Thursday. After this moment, I never watched On The Spot again. On The Spot was like my favorite show and it wasn't even on T.V. I used to love Gamespot and On The Spot but now I despise it. I miss these moments
@andymcgaha I believe he was going to Harmonix. Forgot what position though. I just know that he pretty much played drums at every showing of a Rock Band game.
Thanks for this. I never did happen to see Alex's last moments on film. He made Gamespot something truly epic. But he's happier than he's ever been at Harmonix, so that's awesome for him.
Alex was one of the best things ever to happen to Gamespot. Their podcasts and shows lately have been dull and pedestrian. I can only hope that after a year or so these folks'll be broken in and energetic about their work again.
For the time that Jeff sat in the Rich's chair, the show was just alittle more entertaining. I know that Rich Gallup was a huge contributor to gamespot but so was Jeff. But when they lost the 'big 3' Jeff, Rich as well as Greg, people were just turned off by that. Since Jeff's departure I've gone back just a few times and it seems a certain 'something '( atmosphere ? ) is just not there anymore.
Yeah... the best way I could describe On the Spot nowadays is somewhat boring. The life and color and playfulness just seems to have left with Jeff, Rich, Alex and Greg.
I figure if we give it a year or so it'll bounce back. That's about when I plan on checking back in, anyway.

I watched a few more On the Spots after this one, none of them were anywhere near the shadow of what they used to be.
Such a shame.

Jeff goes out with a bang
Alex goes out with a whimper...

Out of all of them I think Rich Gallup going was the biggest loss.
Jeff went out with a controversy. He could've had the personality of wet toilet paper and had a more memorable exit. ;)

I'm not so sure.

Oh, hey I appreciate it.
I disabled comments on my profile because a couple people with various psychological complexes decided to abuse it.
It's been a long time though, I should turn them back on. I just forgot it existed. Thanks, though!
