@stanimirmn what experts? Don't talk out of your ass. It can be light fighter-bomber but no more, it is intended to be trainer and prepare pilots for flying real things .

It's early days, since it's just started entering service but there is a proposal from the manufacturer for a armoured, single seater version with a more powerful engine as a perspective replacement for the Su-25.

And other more distant projects for a EW-jammer version and even an unmanned recce version.

@Husar101 Manufacturer is manufacturer - he needs to some marketing. As much as i love YAK it won't replace SU-25 and it's upgrades, because it is totally different beast who works flawlessly for over years. It doesn't make sense replacing it while production line is not closed. (A-10 being replaced by upcoming F-35 doesn't make sense ether) EW-jammer version sounds interesting. Anyways YAK-130 is what it is - wonderful advanced training aircraft.

look I agree about the Yak-130 and Su-25 being different type of aircraft. But apparently (according to some reports) the single seat attack version is being worked on (initial design stage)....but that's more of a medium to longer term plan

was not designed for it. may be it can't carry all the weapon types, and does not adanced feutures like stealth etc.
