chezruss, do not use the video using acrylic. I did and developed a form of Neropathy. No one knows exactly why. But at some point in his office I mentioned what I was doing. He was, well lets say mortified. He said that Acrylic as in a form such as breathing it in and I'm not sure right now but in contact that can enter i.e filing breathing soaking has been shown to be a heath risk. He said stop it right now you could be poisoning your self. I was looking for that video to post this.
i just watched a video where the guy was dipping his fingernails with acrylic and superglue, which seemed extreme and potentially toxic. i m happy to find your remedy as it s more natural and less polluting , so i ll give it a go - thanks!
my nails are the good fingernails.... strong, hard but the only time im having fingernail got problems are when the school's discipline teacher force me to cut =.= and playing bowling lol haha thx for the infos
I gave up fingerpicking (steel string guitar) after 15 years on & off, because my nails developed "fault lines", always in the same place, & split - I'd file them right down & let them grow out, but the problem always came back. I gave up & used a plectrum. Then I started taking 1 gram fish-oil capsules for the health benefits. After a few months I happened to notice there were no more nail splits & I've been picking ever since. Maybe a weird co-incidence but the stuff is good for you anyway.
I don't speak english very well so i have 2 questions: 1) What is the product that he uses to aovid getting his nails dry? and 2)I didn't what he says in the ''second part''...He does something 3 times a week about 10 minutes each, but can't understand what it is...PLEASE help me!
Thanks for the tips. I got your link from "Sakari". I'm a couple months into his lessons. I must admit it's not too exciting listening/playing to a metronome for over an hour each time. I am "getting to know the metronome", but better yet, I think I getting some results.

3 times a day, thats a little crazy? I know some are really into caring for their nail but cant you just get press-on?
