The fight ends, so it's technically a victory. You can observe this if you use hacks that cause other sorts of data errors.

My guess is that the game would think you defeated the boss and trigger the last set of events.

Well, if you get a DATA ERROR during JENOVA*LIFE by hacking Aeris in your party, it'll send you to the "Because you are....A puppet." screen, wich happens after the battle. So i would say it would play the scenes that happen after you beat SAFER*SEPHIROTH.

It think maybe they concider slots to be a load of Limit Breaks in one? It's like how Vincent only gets Stage 1 Limit Breaks because each of his transformations have two attacks.

I got different error, when flying with highwind on map, the screen suddenly turned black and a small question mark appeared. does it ever happen to anyone?

yes, it happened to me, when flying the higwind a part of the map turns black but when i fly over it, it takes a few seconds to load the textures

i read that the game can freeze doing that

this is just like the Data Error glitch with the Adamantaimai except in japanese and in different code lines.

i've seen this before. another way to doing it is enabling the ressurect aerith code before she dies.

you get more or less the same system error during that jenova fight. but, if memory serves correctly, the game hangs after doing that reboot sequence.

Hey, that's what is usually called the "error checker." You could use that to skip any battle, even bosses. Give it a try some time against a boss.
