  • Always thought ray was kinda cute -3

  • Ray Manzarek? You want to persuade me that this is Ray Manzarek. He was a Barytone! This one is a female Soprano pretending to be a male Tenore...

  • 2:20 es en México??

  • @urenodhc simoon carnal!!

  • this isnt ray?

  • @KingLizard433 yea it is stupid

  • yeah, Ray is fucking awesome! and I love the sound of the guitar in this one, and of course the best photo of the video is at 2:22

  • @GOORVY I was just about to say that about the guitar tone, but then I saw your comment. It's so fuzzy, yet cleaner than the transistor amp sound of today.

  • I think Ray was the genious of the band, but Jim was the star, the showman.

  • Krieger looks like a creep at 1:54...haha

  • @bdogg38128 Krieger always looks like a creep haha

  • the end of the song is the best part of it

  • Hmm, I think what Ray was doing was singing somewhat out of tune, in order for his voice to harmonize with Jim, just perfectly, which it actually does.

  • This is NOT Ray singing. No doubt. Plz change the name to the video.

  • I just got in the mail a Doors band score, and for Hello, I love You, it has notes written for two singers, and thats what this guy is singing. Also, I was watching a Doors DVD, and Bruce Botnick stated that PAUL ROTHCHILD would occasionaly take background vocals.

  • That has more sense. Obviously this is not Ray. Ray's voice is easy to identify.

  • Well, I just got the CD "Backstage and Dangerous The Private Rehearsal" and Theres a version of "YOu Need Meat" And it's Ray singing it, but his voice is EXTREMELY high, like on Tightrope Ride, but here, yeah it has a different like sound to it.

  • well i'm sure that it's ray because i filtered that track out of my original record.

read the wikipedia entry about hello i love you! there it's said!

and i got a waiting for the sun vinyl there it's said in the booklet : HELLO I LOVE YOU Backingvocals : Ray Manzarek

  • You're 100% correct in stating that this is Ray Manzarek singing background vocals.

  • Comment removed

  • Yo its Ray singing, theres a picture in his book of him and it says "Screamin' Ray, singing the background for Hello I Love You"

  • good material !!

  • in the song there are two Jim's voices and one Ray's. Ray sang in some other tone...

  • Wow, I always thought it was just Jim doubletracked on this one...

  • ya me too

  • do you have the download link to this?? I LOVE Rays voice =D

  • No sorry you can't download this.i filtered it out from the original cd :-D but soon i'm going to upload more of this!

  • Oh, alright =D

  • @OppositesAttract1 : Use ListenToYoutube ;D

  • now we know why he was not lead vocals.

  • Ass! Mann, Ray was the sexiest person in this band! Ray was the best! Jim had a sexy voice though.. But In my opinion.. Ray was the sexiest =D

  • I agree with you. I like Jim as a singer very much. But Ray was the sexiest. :)

  • @OppositesAttract1 ha, i could have written that comment. ;o)

and what i also love besides that he's a genius (bass, keyboards, vocals at the same time): he still had that elegance and really was a natty dresser.
