Are you refferring to the "Serpent Sword" (called "Serpent Slice" in 'Dark Cloud 2')? If so, it's Treant (the big tree with eyes) who gives it to you.

@loonytin You get old tone music from cacao in Matataki villiage. Then use it to make snake come out from little cave. Hope it help you! XD

Haha, as soon as I got the serpent sword, and then beated the snake, I put my most powerful sword on it, and it freaking pwns. I have the best weapons at the moment, at this point.

I still play it to this day. You say you struggled getting the sword? I literally spent 30 hours of game-time trying to figure out how to get the snake out of his cave. Still ended up looking on YouTube though :/ I suck. XD

This is my favorite duel in the game. ( I had a game file saved right before this fight so i could play it over and over back in like 2002.) But since my ps3 doesnt support ps2 games it doesnt look like im gonna be playing dark cloud again anytime soon.

u have 2 get tha little pixie dudes to open the river gate in the village and let the water go all the way to the big old tree. He will giv u tha serpent sword. Thatz all i can remember

connect the river to the place where the tree is walk in there he gives you the sword tell him not mess up or the snake will eat hime lol : ) it took me a while but i was little when this came out not 2 hard but im 13 now so i dont how old this game is or how old i was

wasnt long enough? this game took ages to beat. I'm still on the third floor of the demon shaft, which is like the midway point of the game. but yea, needs more duels ^_^ and a sequel would be excellent

yea i got it and beat it. The weapons systems is way better. It easier to build up and stuff. In DC1 i dont think i ever built up a weapon, i only found better ones lol
