  • reminiscent of The Fifth Element

  • The kitchen rust was also augmented. You will need an augmented wife. >>>My mind will go further dirty:))

  • mmmm adverts

  • careful boiling water? YOU THINK I DIDN"T KNOW THAT? I WANTED TO BOIL THE WATER IN THE FIRST PLACE!

  • You know, I wouldn't be surprised if the design guys in charge of the new Deus Ex game had taken a look at this. Seems oddly fitting.

  • As an AR geek I think this is so cool and realistic, I could totally see this in a few years. However as an English user I feel you left out the all important teapot out of the mix.

  • Got this in better resolution?

  • William Gibson was right.

  • In Soviet Russia the reality augments you...

  • the future seem laggy

  • What a mess!

  • "Do you have protection?"

"Yes, I just installed Kaspersky on myself 3 days ago"

    "Shit I have a virus!"

    "Everything is a broken Jpeg!"

    "IM BLIND!"

  • @kiqueaceves lmao, That's funny!

  • This video was brought to you by: EVERY FUCKING CORPORATION ON EARTH!

  • LOL just take off the glasses and leave the ad rate on MAX

youll get some free ad-free mins.

  • hèy_Ï_feel_sô_lônÊlÿ_tÔDãý

  • That is the worst future

  • This is my dream im waiting moment then it will be usually like phone talk in peopls life

  • you rock :P

  • I want this now!

  • this reminds me of the movie Gamer. That kids computer room had holographic projections. it looks like that.

  • Mushrooms and LSD

  • This video is like the videos about today back from the seventies. With big, room-size computers with blinking buttons, beeping and printing out info on strips of paper, and trash-can size & form robots rolling around the flat and doing housework.

  • I think this is the meaning of life. You have a lot of time, my friend. Great job.

  • Hey Paco Bell my name is Paco to ha

  • The perfection of a system comes not when there is nothing left to add, but nothing left to take away. With that in mind, I don't see how anyone would want to be bombarded with ads and essentially eye spam. I rather think the future of AR is in gaming a driving. In gaming, imagine playing HALO or Call of Duty where you are REALLY running around, shooting imaginary weapons but in real (but augmented) environments. That's something I'd pay for.

  • is it what Simchar living is? with all this "liquid waste=pee" meters in the kitchen?

  • car engine on....check

    hosepipe connected....check

    windows up....check

    hard drive in the ocean....check

specific note to mother requesting the complete absence of 'angels' by robbie williams at my funeral....check

    righto, see you later

  • What a mess the future might/will be.

    But great video.

  • lady's voice from a Mac! lol

  • A vision of hell.

  • @benbennit this is heaven but obviously i would have a whole lot different, sign me up for this, I CANT WAIT!!

  • the man wants us dumbed down to sheep. that way when he takes over, we'll all be stuck googling totalitarian governments and reading e-book on how to stop them

  • Excellent work, well done indeed!

  • O que é isso mesmo??? Matrix + Minority Report? Nice work dude! =D

  • If you don't get the adds, when he lowers and raises the bar, basically it's adding money to his account for viewing them, just look at the 'Balance' and the money he makes per minute on the right side of it.

  • @ThaGoodestFella I'm surprised it wasn't like in Idiocracy where people get money every time they insert a company's catchphrase into their everyday consversations.

  • Yes, he needs directions on how to make a cup of tea. Fail.

  • this is just plain stupid....the augmented reality that is.. cause the film is just stunning!

but i seriously hope humanity won't come to this.. and I love technology!

  • acid house

  • Yeah, but what if you're In a fight and all you see are advertisements?

  • @cheeswisz you take off your glasses xD

  • @cheeswisz You probably get paid double.

  • Wow!

  • pretty noisy¡¡¡¡¡¡

    i like that¡¡

  • "Ding dong"...pop up dialogue:

"According to your past browsing habits your iAugment app has overlayed porn on every surface in your field of vision"

  • @670Kiester LOLERCOPTERZ!!! LOL

  • Pretty cool and interesting. Reminds me so much of Half-Life. Very awesome, dude :D

  • Can anyone tell me what's the song in the video ?

  • @EihposEkard that music is from Antonio Carlos Jobim, the name of the song is Garota de Ipanema and the lyrics is from Vinícius de Moraes (y)

  • @drkstr89 OH ! Thanks a lot ! I've been searching for this song for such a long time ! Tha. <3

  • @EihposEkard de nada :D saludos desde México :)

  • @drkstr89 Ah d'accord. Salutations de France. ^^

  • WOOOW I LOVE IT!!!

  • maybe he was so stoned that he needed help from his computer.

But seriously, I would wear a helmet if its necessary to see the world like that.

    Imagine the possibilities.

  • What kinda moron needs a recipe to get a cup of tea...? Stupid.

  • We're getting more and more reliant on having our knowledge stored on the net instead of in our heads.

Atleast personally I'm using wikipedia like a heroin addict.

Recipe for a cup of tea is just an extreme :P

  • @fukutabe a kid from just 50 years ago would say, what kind of moron can't remember a phone number? The real scary question is "who needs to remember?". Technology makes us dumber when we delegate functions to it. At first technology saved us from tiring physical activity, thus obesity is becoming a serious issue. Now technology is also saving us from cognitive functions, and we barely memorize numbers anymore. With augmented technology we will memorize and even think less.

  • Hm. The brief moment where you can see the field and the state of the environment, it looks decent. I hope thats the case when/if technology becomes this 'advanced'...yeesh though...

  • Weird ... This video is actually painful to watch. Not metaphorically, but actually physically painful to watch. Hurts the eyes. Everything doesn't quite move together smoothly. Must be a perceptual thing.

Apparently the future will give people motion sickness. :)

  • Trippy, but the beginning and the end (advert room) would be hell. I'd opt out if capitalisms iron fist hasn't demanded all to have the technology.

Would we become so dumbed down that we would have to search the internet in order to make a cup of tea? :)

  • Consider the current trajectory of dumb-ing down!

  • @MistaTomsk Its a proof of concept. No one would cross-reference a database before opening the fridge door to see what's inside.

  • @NVSBLmonstr You would if you wanted to know the expiry of every single item in there and possibly when there's a sale on any said item. And what about recipes that utilize those ingredients?

  • @MistaTomsk

I'm pretty sure the cup of tea thing is just an easy example, not an actual example of something our future selves would search for...

  • @MistaTomsk im kinda more worried about it needing to tell you that u need to pee

  • Excellent.

  • I can just imagine the person at the end of the video saying, "Oh, I didn't know that I needed to take a leak. but according to this thing I do. Be right back!"

  • I've dreamed of this technology since high school at least. The advertisments were really depressing though

  • Probably dream commercials too!

  • omg lolol

i used to dream of this!!!

  • *grabs skim milk*

    NOW YOURE

    THINKING

    WITH

    POR-TALS

  • oloko...

  • Also I think it would be awesome if, in the future, we are economically and socially required to know several languages. This language connection could easily be caused by constant intermingling of nationality and language due to a revolutionized travel industry. Everyone knowing several languages would make it much easier to understand different cultures and connect with them. Additionally it would help weed out intolerant people and keep certain languages from dissolving.

  • @troxell

or maybe we could just say to hell with out the current languages and go about inventing one language for the world to know. Much less of a hassle for everyone to know one language.

  • @zachelman I vote Chinese. At least then my Firefly fantasies will come to fruition ;)

  • Available at to Cosco!!!

  • If you ask me this pretty much sum's up how we live our lives this day in age.

  • This is amazing!

  • I loved the way the character brought up the giant social networking application. "Anyone up for a RL meetup this weekend?"

  • I love how we speak english, japanese, and listen to "Menina de Ipanema" while we make tea,

    best,

    future,

    evah.

  • why does everyone think this is future is so disgusting i think the technology is pretty fuckin cool

  • I predict this to be after nano tech, nuclear war and jesus comes back.

  • this is disgusting. if our world is just layered with shallow, consumerism driven ads and images blaring constantly in your face, what would happen to basic human interaction? we would become drones programmed to buy, buy buy.

  • Pause it at the ad turn down it's a very long bar and they stop pretty high. That would make sense.. more ads and it costs you less to run it.. Something like that would need funding from some very serious people or many, many smaller businesses on the face of the planet.

  • we already have.

  • @ktonlai Are you trying to say this has not already happened?

  • not to this extent, no.

  • Tom Clancy's Chef Recon: Advanced Kitchen 2

  • So is this from Japan or America? They have both languages. OR will the Japanese and American's cross-breed into super beings in the future?

  • @animeking Well, Japan had better do something soon, because their population is growth is tanking. Perhaps their future lies in diaspora rather than the exclusion they traditionally prize. I kind of hope it turns out like Hawaii =)

  • that is an epic amount of motion tracking... and layering...

  • this is a nightmarish view of the future.

  • Installing AdBlock in three, two, one...

  • @Geminii27 Would you install adblock if you got directly paid for watching advertisements?

  • Quite possibly, unless I had no other source of income and the payment rate was worth the hassle, and I didn't have to pay for the bandwidth. I'd also be more likely to run the advertising pull-feature in a virtual sandbox which only _thought_ it had access to the physical screen. Because hey, free money.

  • @Geminii27

If you look carefully, there's a ad-gauge you can adjust.

It also adjusts your income rate. In this reality it seems you get paid to wath ads.

  • I hope AR comes with a virtual baseball bat that you can occasionally swing and smash all of this to bits, with the attendant sound of violently shattering glass.

These logos are funny, so many old ones. Tower Records?

  • Awesome and scary video!

You should go on with that great work!

  • Terry Gilliam would like this, I bet.

  • The ads are adjustable in this video, and provide you with some extra income. Sounds reasonable enough to me.

  • bamzuki - the saga continues

  • If life was like this, I would be happy :)

  • Amazing!

  • Those bitching about how unrealistic this is, just relax. This is a negative result of ads and augmented reality warning video, not a statement of "This is how it will be". Cautionary tales tend to exaggerate things.

  • Sooooo, does this mean that it will cost you money to live a life without ads?

    Goddamn that is scary.

  • The ads probably help pay for the internet connection that allows one to look up recipes and check blogs and stuff.

  • This is definitely not what it will be like, much like we don't have hover cars today.

  • This is EXACTLY what it will be like. Great job.

    I'm from the future.

  • Very cool! Well done.

  • this is scary... nice stuff mate!

  • nice!

  • Comment removed

  • The coming of the false messiah and deceitful world :) Proof we're doomed :D

  • i think this is brilliant dystopian vision of the future where due to over realiance on technology we need it to be able to make a cup of tea and know when to take a piss!

  • holoy shit is awesome

  • I think this is a perfect interpretation of the future. Thank you for articulating it in such a beautiful way.

  • Good thing I have no friends, or else I'd might have to hang myself if I were to ever get locked on the "friend-o-sphere" interface.

  • i like this id use it hack the crap out of it but id use it

  • Airvertising EXTREME!

  • i'll take the social escapism...not so much the directions on how to make a cup of tea. or the advertising.

  • that's the world i want to live in

  • great ! i work con AR... i love it thx

  • the tendenciy of the human mind to be normal, and have a relaxing enviroment will overcome on this nightmarish vision of the future.

Call it being a hippie, whatever, but just look at the difference of the suburbs and a metropol's City, or the minimalist trend (which cen be explained by the wish of urban citizens to have a simple and media-noise free living space.

Or just simply compare the suicide rate of an overadvertised city as Tokio and a calm and peaceful place as Bruges (Belgium).

  • adblock ftw ^

  • comming soon :)

  • you obviously lost the point of the video.

  • fantastic!

  • Fantastic stuff, well done.

  • fucking retarded.

  • a recipe for a cup of tea? this moron also needs the recipe to make ice?

  • Already so not a fan of augmented reality. It's an advertiser's wet dream.

  • that´s sacared

  • Rubbish

  • Amazing. that's FUTURE!

  • cultura agilipollante no!

YES

    aun asi prefiero la realidad..........

  • So cool, but many advertisements (So real)

  • Love it.
