Technology makes us dumber when we delegate functions to it. At first technology saved us from tiring physical activity, thus obesity is becoming a serious issue. Now technology is also saving us from cognitive functions, and we barely memorize numbers anymore. With augmented technology we will memorize and even think less.

Also I think it would be awesome if, in the future, we are economically and socially required to know several languages. This language connection could easily be caused by constant intermingling of nationality and language due to a revolutionized travel industry. Everyone knowing several languages would make it much easier to understand different cultures and connect with them. Additionally it would help weed out intolerant people and keep certain languages from dissolving.
