  • guys the GREAT BEAR is not to be mocked

  • Lol.

  • Good too see our old ww 2 allie be friends agin

  • ya u kno what it is

  • russian aircraft or anything for that matter is built and and maintained like CRAP!

Event tho iraq had the su 39 or w/e the most advanced plane was at that time, they couldnt get them off the ground because of poor maintnence and lack of skill!

  • that a case of was it was mig 29 and only one or two they got off the ground fine now irain got them they ran lol. russia now got mony hence the bear bomber are fling agin thier as old as our b-52 are.

  • either way russian crap is, well, CRAP.

the b-52 may be over 50 years old but its still the most advanced plane for its size.

Also, i find it funny that we've retired a stealth plane and no other country even has one.HAHA!!!

  • i'd say the tu-160 much more advanced then the b-52. Maximum speed: Mach 2.05 vs Maximum speed: 560 kt (650 mph. internal bays for 40,000 kg (88,185 lb) of ordnance vs Approximately 70,000 pounds (31,500 kg) mixed ordnance.

  • @kawii105 All crap is, well crap. I am an American, and a damn proud one, but to assume that we are the only country capable of producing effective weaponry is absurd. Confidence and pride are good things, but ethnocentrism and arrogance lead to underestimations and embarrassments. Don't count the red bear out, AK47s are still used nearly worldwide and are over 60 years old. I am tired of us being the world's sole police force without any help. I welcome this.

  • It's always good to hear from experts :P

  • Actually, you don't even need NATO. NATO = U.S. + a bunch of impotent little states.

If U.S. goes to war, other NATO members can choose to go or not go, U.S. will go anyway. If other NATO countries want to go to war but U.S. says no, nobody goes.

    NATO = U.S.

If you had Russia in NATO, it would significantly increase your power projection capability around the planet. It would also help you with the costs.

  • Their not impotent little states you fool

You have countries in Nato capable of ruining anyones day including Russia and the US, While certainly not able to take them head on, They could do alot of damage

  • ...and then be royally destroyed. Therefor impotent.

  • @RackJacket There is a mutual fear on both sides of the Cold War. USA and The Russian Federation have never gone beyond taunting and attempting intimidation because of this. Both sides are powerful, but to say that there are NATO countries, EXCLUDING the USA which "ruin anyone's day" is ridiculous. There is a mutual respect, but also a mutual distrust from Washington and Moscow that has existed since the 1930's.

  • @shipoopi92 Arrogance = defeat. I am tired of my country being the world's police force w/o help. Who pays for it? Who dies? Our soldiers do. NATO = multiple nations population 700m, Russia = 1 nation population 200m, obviously we collectively can out produce them. Russia can outproduce the UK, Israel, France, etc. So, what was your point? We don't need.......I don't need $1m but I would like to have it.

  • @MrRob77 I am tired of it too. To be honest i don't even know why i said that, it was awhile ago.

  • poor you-u would need to prepare 700 mill coffins--its full time job--

  • My comment was in reference to the video above, and was welcoming a military collaboration between the 2 countries. what are you talking about?

  • nothing wrong here--preparing the coffins is usual result of a military collaboration between 2 countries\\\\

  • watch?v=Add8YFu4dy0

  • Helicopters could be useful. But anyway, Western aircraft are actually better.

  • cheaper is the factor

  • Cost-effectiveness also a factor.

  • Not so much anymore...

  • haha read the title Russia invades Georgia? Well if you let yourself fool by US propaganda then I don't even want to border to argue with you. Where are the Nukes in Iraq? Where are US human rights in Guantanomo? Just type in:

The most shocking YOUTUBE vid of all time! Iraq and the 911 war

and watch the vid with the same name. From now on think for yourself before believing the media ;)

  • EliteBusJr -- Russia defended it's poeple living in Ossetia and Abhazia , Russia did not invade anybody since 1979 ,, WATCH who people hate the most , USA asshole. Explited song Suck the USA , has 2.900.000 views ,,, Interesting ,, FUCK USA.

  • Read the new title "Russia Invades Georgia" A separatist province

You say fuck USA? well then.. Get out?...

  • this is very fishy the country that fucked afghanistan right up in the soviet invasion is now acting like hamid karzai's best buddy. whats russia's game here?

  • lol we are playing you American fags LOL

and you dont even realise it XD

Russia kicks ass! most powerful nation in the world!!!

  • HAHAHAHHAAHHAAA thats rich.

  • please lol... they a bunch of drafted conscripts.

  • that is sooo funny thanks for the laughs

  • -- NATO is aggressive side ,,, RUSSIA has not invaded anybody since 1979 ..

  • *ehem* Russia invaded Georgia in 2008 dumbass..

  • umm georgia invaded russia in 2008 my friend... abxazia is not part of georgia... never will be.

  • Fuck NATO. New World Order Illuminati Motherfuckers..!!

  • Sure Russia will help but at what cost? Im sure once they start helping us they will have a list of demands or they'll shut down the operation..im not buying it.

  • I think it will be good if we support ISAF mission.

Taliban grow their drugs on fields of Afghanistan and send them to Russia and Europe. If the coalition fully leave Afghanistan that time will be good to talibs to grow more and more drugs.

ISAF mission is to help afgan peoples make their life peacefull and grow comunication and their economy but talibs thinks thats coalition is their enemy because they lost their influence on afghan peoples and cant grow their drugs to buy new weapons.

  • I hope that Russian government realize that NATO on long term is moore dangerous to us than Islamic extremists and Al-Qaida !

I hope that we will kick US out of Central Asia sooN !

  • Thanks Russia!:D

  • Cold War 2# can wait, we need to wipe out the terrorists first. I'm sure our vodka drinking comerades will be more then happy to oblige after what happened in Beslan.

  • I will be very disappointed at Russia if it decides to be a PUPPET tool for the nazi U.S and allows the supply route to run throught Russia's territory. I hope the Russian government has enought pride and wise enought not to allow itself to be an asss kissing tool for the fascist U.S....if it doesn't want to join the nazi U.S to be the world's enemy.

  • After making that deal with nato the Russians bought Krgystans approval to shut down Nato's only base supplying the war effort in Afganistan! This makes Nato pretty much dependent on Russia/Russian allies for supplying the war effort ... unless they build bases in Pakistan and that aint gonna happen.

  • Russia huh? That was unexpected. This is good news. One more ally against the Taliban, well, sort of an ally. Of course they're going to ask for something in return later. Maybe shutting down that missile defense shield in Eastern Europe, which I totally agree we should do.

  • Both, though I think it's more to gain brownie points from the One since Russia allegeadly persuaded Krygastan to close the Manas base.

  • Grand Chessboard

  • why is russia joining the losing side of this conflict? it would be a terrible PR disaster should they support the taliban, but at least theyd be on the winning side.

  • Think about it if the Taliban wins they can export their "revolution" to the already fragile central Asian republics and that won't be good for Russia.

  • the taliban cannot be defeated as it has the support of the noble afghan people. the last man to conquer all of afghanistan was alexander the great. if they wanna win this war they have to get the people on their side by improving conditions (eg providing healthcare) instead of bombing innocents. did you know the taliban pays better than the afghan army?

  • alexandar the great did not conquer afghanistan, they took over the cities but not the country....AFGHANISTAN was a major promblem for him, he even said, in this country every man is an alexandar!

  • correct....wikipedia, read section 4.2 "Common strategies", if your familiar with the game then you have learned the art of negotiation and pre-positioning support to maintain area control. We need supply routes into Afghanistan.

We are being stressed to maintain current Troop level support and current plans are to double the forces currently on the ground.

Mix in a dependency to Russia and then consider the pressure points and your lack of control...like owning an Island and no Boat .

  • Think it thru....ever Play the game "Risk" ?

If so, go look at the "Real Word" map at the position we are in, and dont kid yourself ,we cant allow the Taliban to go unchecked.

We had 2 African Embassies, the USS Cole and a Barracks Bombed prior to 911 with them in control of most of Afghanistan . They joined with and allowed Al-Qaeda to operate .

Their long term goal is those Nukes in Pakistan, just like Iran, there Religious Zealot Fanatic Ideology is to rid the world of Infidels .

  • Also don't forget Saudi Arabia, a totalitarian regime that builds radical mosques in every corner of the earth. Sadly, we can't deal with them because they have us by our dicks when it comes to oil.

Let's make alternate power sources and do away with ARAMCO, then we can throw down with these fuckers.

  • This is big news. If it works out it could really help build trust in relations. Of course, Russia created the opening themselves by basically forcing Kyrgyzstan to close Manas AFB, but still.

There are a lot of things I don't like about Russia's behavior, like assassinating journalists, but their political maneuvers are impressive.

  • Its one journalist who was assassinated not journalists. Dont just assume that those allegations are true. They might be true but sound pretty strange to me since I can see a lot of journalists and politicians criticising Putin over many years and nothing happens to them.

  • There have been ongoing assassinations of Russian journalists almost since the end of the Soviet Union. Wikipedia has a list, check it out.

Three reporters and one legal counsel/human rights lawyer all from a single newspaper, Novaya Gazeta, have been killed since 2003.

It's interesting to note that one of the richest men in the world, Ex-KGB agent Alexander Lebedev owns 49% of that paper as well as 75% of the UK's Daily Mail.

  • Bummer looks like we don't get Cold War II :(

  • NATO are weak they rely on others to help them achieve their "objectives" coz of them Pakistan are on the brink of war!

  • The word your looking for is "weak." And NATO is not weak. Russia only offered its help. NATO did not ask. And dont blame NATO for Pakistans problems.

  • They can't defeat the Taliban, how much do they spend on their military? Oh yeah the yanks spend more than the rest of the world put together and thats just the US.

  • They cant defeat the taliban? The Taliban is already defeated you dumb fuck. Its Al Quida were fighting now. Let me ask you. What was the last city they were able to take from NATO? LOL thought so. When was the last time they stood and fought NATO and forced NATO from an area? LOL thought so. Just cause they may kill 3 Americans with an IED then run like bitches dosent mean they are winning. We lost 5000 in Iraq. We lost 50,000 in vietnam and almost 400,000 in WW2. Yeah I think we are winning

  • The Taliban is stronger than ever! They have a presence in 72% of Afghanistan and have struck major supply lines recently. The Taliban will never be 'defeated' in a military sense, as many military officials have said. The best we could hope for is an agreement with the Taliban along the lines of The Sahawah. But right now they're too strong since Pakistan basically backed out of Waziristan, allowing them to focus on only one front instead of two, like us!

That's what I've gathered at least.

  • The reason they can still put up a fight is because they run into Pakistan. We cant go after them. I hope Obama says "fuck Pakistan" and rolls up in there and takes them out.

  • warcraft:

Obama has already issued drone attacks on the Pakistan side of the border but our forces can't just "roll up in there" without risking enraging the local population further. The LAST thing we should do is cause further destabilization in an already unstable nuclear-armed nation!

  • Are you kidding? That area of Pakistan is already destabilized. Its why the Pakistan army has not gone in there. That area is not any diffrent Afg. And these strikes will only have a limited affect.

  • We can take the cities but they flee into the mountains and bleed us slowly, just like they did the Soviets. Their strength comes from their numbers, determination, knowledge of the terrain and their multi-billion dollar heroin trade. We can beat them but we need a smart plan.

  • Oh shit. Haven't thought of it that way.

Alright, guess we just have to stay on their good side LOL.

  • Amazing! It's like Boris Yeltsin is still running that country (drunk at the wheel).

Btw, it is nice to see Russia working with NATO for a change...
