I don't know if you guys have noticed, but this isn't the only song based off of another one that was in a play. The song "At the Gala" was based off of a song from "Into the Woods", which I believe had the same name as the play.

I love this song, but out of most of the songs from this show I think some of the lyrics from this song are a bit clashy, like they tried to cram in too many words that don't flow nicely with each other. I have the 8-bit version on the CD in my car, and play it pretty much every time I drive anywhere.

its not until Suited for success and Green isn't your color that the best of rarity really shines and from that point we understand her as a character way better than on previous episodes

its her aspirations and her career that makes us understand her personality better

I am so delighted that this show's music takes its inspiration from such a marvelous, powerful, and enduring art form, rather than whatever happens to be popular nowadays. It really bothers me how much hate there is for Rarity in the brony community...she displays a level of class and sophistication that isn't seen these days. Yes she can be uppity and prissy, but it's part of her personality! Just like Applejack's stubbornness and Pinkypie's overbearing and impulsiveness, and Twilight's obsessive compulsive organization. Each pony has a negative aspect of their character, but it's part of who they are! I loved this episode, it really showed Rarity's generosity.
