I wonder what sort of reverb he used?! Probably a spring reverb?! I'm not even sure they had analogue bucket-brigade delay/reverbs in those days. I can't find those spring reverbs anywhere, they were natural sounding. Digital reverb is pretty good though. Love Kossoff's playing.
@cutis1000 Yes, 38min track is on that the BSC album (deluxe edition, disc 2, released 2008 or thereabouts). Also included is a warm up guitar jam (Leslie Jam). Timeless.
slow down with "the dads a nut" stuff. Paul's father was highly respected. If you care to look back on the history of their relationship you might be uplifted by the love his father had for him and the desperation he publicly expressed at not being to help his son. But then I'm probably old enough to be your father and as such I would kick your arse for being such a blinkered little fuck.
Oh my a friend of bible bashers wanting to kick my arse ;-). Funny how revisionism has been applied to Pauls relationship with David, but then as in so many things the very young believe the last thing they read. Try researching, a little before assuming, you have been told the truth. Paul was completely off the rails and it killed him, if the father son relationship was so good, why was Koss, living apart from his father at 16?
Nothing wrong with being able to play fast and accurate. I first listened to blues players including PK before I got in to more technical playing.(might upload some blues playing) You can feel the music when your playin fast too but I know where your coming from as regards intensity of the notes which create a mood. Not difficult playin tho 'pentatonic scale'. Make no mistake tho guys such as Yngwie can play this stuff but I'm amazed at some really young guys that cant
Nothing wrong with, but neither is it essential. Far to many younger players never get to be as expressive as Koss. Even Clapton was impressed by Paul and gave him a guitar in return for advice on "that sound". Unlike some I lived through the years in question. David and Paul did not see eye to eye, its a sad trurth that many would like to bury.
Bloobear 1: There are scales and scales but feeling transcends these technical issues. Sure I can play fast too, but in gigs people respond to soul and emotion, whatever 'scale' it is in.

Koss felt the music, so what if he wasn't a fast picker...no shredding here.
Shame he couldn't control his drug intake, should still be with us really.
His Dad was a bible reader....happens all the time..dads a nut, kid off the tracks...sad story really.

He didn't need tp play fast or flashy - he could put so much emotion into every note ... one of my favourite players ever.

Probably the bes guitarist of all all time may seem a bold statement to make until you listen to him play .
