  • Hey Yukon, how much for the Pea Pod? Went to the site but couldn't find the pricing.....Btw great choice in hammocks ;)

  • @ScoutsNOA Hey man! The pods were on sale when I got them a couple years back. 300 bucks! Regular 400 bucks. I see it's 369 bucks now. I'll pm ya with the link!

  • where do i get one of these peapods?

  • @icebombers I'll send you the link in a PM!

  • thought you was going to fall asleep lol

  • @SuperAndyyyy Hehe, I almost did ;o)

  • Also, how big is it when packed, and how heavy?

  • @Soldier957 It packs about 10"x7" a few inches thick. It's 39 oz.

  • Does it open all the way? Would you do a video on how to mount it on your hammock? What's the temp rating? Does it come in not-so-conspicuous colours?

    Thanks for the demo!

  • @Soldier957 Yes, it opens all the way. It's velcro from one end to the other. easy to install a child could do it. one color. temp rating is -7C /20F!

  • Ohhhh, you took your shoes off. I don't know if I can stick around for the rest now, haha.

  • @BrokenAeroVT ;o)

  • @Ggreenvideos My Hennessy hammock was a peepod. Getting in and out of it to pee was perilously difficult, hehe.

  • @BrokenAeroVT Hehe...Yeah I kind of parked my HH for the time being until I get the zipper mods done and some Whoopie slings :o)

  • P.I.T.A. = pain in the ass.. sleeping bags do not work well with the hammock set up. this pp is what i'm looking for , you changed my mind about velcro. I can see that it is better for this app.

    thanks buddy

  • @meetcha2nite Hehe! Rite on :o) If you think a sleeping bag is a p.i.t.a. in an open hammock, you should try it in the Hennessy...hehe! Now that's a p.i.t.a. Probably do the mods on those next year. I like the open concept better. When I get my bugnets from Warbonnet the new rig will be done. Already got my superfly's but the weather has been horrible. Just finished snowing today!

  • hey Rich, I just used my eno hammock for the first time last weekend , the sleeping bag was a p.i.t.a. I wanted to get 1 of these pp's but their sold out. Can I buy yours?

its that velcro? not a big fan of velcro.

  • @meetcha2nite ENO looks like a good one! What's a P.I.T.A.? I noticed he's been sold out since! Maybe contact him. Can't have ours buddy...hehe! Velcro is great man!!! Way better than zippers in my opinion. Zippers are cold, don't seal, and can bugger up real quick. That's why Ed uses velcro :o) It just works better for this application. Thanks for your comment and for checkin' it :o)

  • Never used the hammock system before. The more I see them the more interested I become. Thanks for sharing Green.

  • @Cr0cket20 There very comfy man! Once you do the hammock thing you'll never wanna' sleep on the ground again! Unless of course you're higher on a mountain with no trees. We have the world famous Chilkoot trail where a tent is required! Thanks for checkin' it :o)

  • Nice video....I want one of those pea pods!

  • @larrylynn123 Thanks! They're great so far :o)

  • Very nice gear. Enjoy it! :-)

  • @calatorul78 Thanks buddy, we will :o)

  • Rich I'm getting a kick out of watching you be lazy for a change. LOL It's good to see the new videos.

  • @DrunknShooter Hehe! thanks my friend :o) Yeah it's good to be lazy! Thanks for checkin' it buddy :o)

  • Hey!!!! Lucky you....... popping in the peapod is 'pert near perfect. Except I don't have one so I look forward to more reports from ya' on it there , 'eh.

    Did Bushwoman get one too?

    Shug of PeaPod Envy

  • @shugemery Lucky us :o) Just maybe it is pert near perfect...hehe! We will see! The bushwoman did get one too! I will definitely keep you posted on the outcome buddy :o) The real test will be in the next Yukon winter...hehe ! Thanks for checkin' it eh!

  • Dang, you look comfy - 28 comments so far and no one else has said it yet -" as comfy as two peas in a pod!" LOL! My 3 season Yeti is jealous!

You are set, anymore room left in your gear closet? Great gear you go there!

"Get out and hike, cook some really great meals, and more important that anything..."

    I need help! hehe!

  • @wawhiker edits ... great gear you got there... and ...more important than anything - sorry!

  • @wawhiker Hehe! Your getting gooood at this commenting thing! Thanks my friend. Good to hear from ya :o) Gear closet you say?...hehe! I wish! The damn stuff is scattered all over my pad man :o) Now I have to move...out in the country...hehe :o) The 3 season Yeti looks like a winner as well. I almost need a flock of geese up here...hehe!

  • love it!

  • @redsbleeding2003 Me too man :o) Thanks for watching man :o)

  • Now I get it. The pea pod goes over the hammock. One piece to take the place of an under quilt and an over quilt. Hmmm. So would you carry the pea pod and a sleeping bag?

  • @EconoChallenge Well in winter yo would need to most likely. In summer I'm going to try just a sleeping bag liner. See how that works. Or maybe just my woolies :o)

  • How much is the peapod. Currently they are out of stock and don't list the price.

  • @mrsdjsdj Once he re-stocks it's hard to say how much$. They were regular $400 but I got them on sale for $300ea.

  • @FourReason *****I'm a swinger***** hehe :o)

Sounds good. If you're driving or canoeing to your site, then there's nothing wrong with a canvas one buddy...and a army bag to boot. Good stuff :o)

Every day above the ground is a good day :o)

  • @FourReason I did take a little siesta...hehe!

  • pea pod looks warm.

did you give up on your hennessys?

  • @gcstorm1 Real warm! No haven't give up on the HH :o) Will do suspension and zipper mods next year. The pods open all the way, so should be able to use them with the HH as well once they have the side zipper mod. It's nice to have different hangs :o) I'm not too crazy over the bottom entry anymore!

  • I'm loving that pea pod!! Thanks for the nicely produced video.

    Celebrate Life!

    Laurie

  • @LoveRise Thanks, I think it's going to be super good for my climate :o) Thanks for your grear comment! Always appreciated!

  • real nice set up, thanks again Ggreen

  • @CampfireTalk Thanks for checkin' it out man :o)

  • Must be comfy. Thought you had gone to sleep on us :) I have been shopping for a new tent but now you have me reconsidering a hammock and tarp setup again!

BTW, got my ripstop nylon for a hammock chair today. Maybe I can get to it this week???

    Jim...

  • @Woodenarrows Pretty good Jim! Actually I did take a snooze :o) Hammocks are great! But that's just my opinion :o) I'm glad you will be working on that hammock chair. Have fun :o)

  • That looked like it was pretty comfortable....I had to take a nap after watching this :)

    Good job Rich......*****

  • @bushcraftbartons Me too man...hehe! Thanks buddy :o)

  • now thats living,pura vida

  • @snappa222 That's living buddy :o) Pura vida...LO0L!

  • i like that setup. Might have to save up for that pea pod.

  • @thecyr Thanks! Go for it man! It's pretty cool :o)

  • @Ggreenvideos how small does that hammock pack down to? smaller than an ENO singlenest?

  • @thecyr I think about the same. They're all about the same size. The Grand Trunk is 4' 5" wide x 9'5" long.

  • wow lots of gear, I'm jealous

  • @dragonflyhiker Thanks buddy! You have a great hammock & underquilt as well! Feel better...hehe! :o)
