  • The peng jin in the body projected to the elbow appears very grounded, centered and strong; yet the masters hand is so soft, light and sensitive..love the arm bars into to squeeze from 3:35

  • ching's body is still good, arms and hands are so weak la.

  • how true , well said

  • 0:29 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHA................................... no skills... this guy taught so many people in america! everytime I go looking in a city for Tai Chi I get disappointed because they are "Chengmanchingies": people who look at what chengmanching did as heavenly knowledge better than everyone else :P ... His Tai Chi was great! at making young people move like old people with a bad leg... sorry the truth hurts... been wanting to vent that for years

  • Bah...

  • Prof. Cheng has such a STRONG root, complete, I mean COMPLETE control of the center,..so amazing to watch him !!!

  • Thank you for using slow motion, it's make easier to study from master

  • @ Dan Tai Chi can counter Wing Chun easily. the Tai Chi practitioner jams and freezes the Wing Chun players movements and simply overwhelms them with a pulse of force that uproots the hapless attacker.

  • I dont understand Tai Chi, if you practice forms slowly, how does Taichi counter something like Wing Chun?

  • @danpt2000 This video is in slow motion. People who practice tai chi martially do so both quickly and slowly.

  • @danpt2000 you practice forms slowly like you would practice a hard piano piece= slowly,, then when you go fast your form is correct.

a push in the form is a push, if you tried to push someone as slow as that he would punch you, a push would be done fast, hopefully with all that good structure you've been practicing in the form.

A lot of tai chi focuses on the softer slower aspects as it is more about health because China used to have health problems.Tai chi is good for lung problems

  • Is that William Chen?

  • @noklarok Yes, but it William Chen one of the guys attacking him?

  • @Allen2saint oops sorry,, i have no idea,, i don't think so.

  • @Allen2saint Yes that is a young William Chen.

And I would like share some clip from you tube about my master toss me around. Please check Gary lam Taiji. The second clip have some push hand demo at right lower corner of the screen

  • Thanks for posting this video so all the Tai Chi critics can see a real master doing push-hands. Long live Cheng Man-Ching in our hearts!

  • My late teacher, the great Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing, having the time of his life pushing hands through the years with a variety of his students.

  • Thank you for posting, it is amazing to see this great master at work, nice background music too.

  • Thanks for this. Its a shame the camera focuses so much on his arms in the later parts. Its the legs that really display the energy.

  • thanks, great to see new footage!
