I really love both, but specially the 7th. But I don't see the point in mixing them. I cannot really enjoy the 7th as deeep as usual while I see Monet's paintings; For me these are very different things.

Beautiful video. The art & music. I think my favorite artists are "The Impressionists". My sister, daughter & I are artists as well as my husband....& all of us LOVE Monet...except my sister. She says that it's not art at all & HATES Monet & all impressionism. Can you believe it??? We have had many heated arguments over it. Impressionism is for the viewer/appreciator to interpret for themselves by using their heart & mind, not just their eyes, & to inspire passion. It's "true" art.

I've had a love at first sight experience with Monet's water reflection technique. It looked as if it you were seeing them for the first time, yet they felt familiar like from a child's eye view and you can feel the looseness of brushstrokes, the mark of a virtuoso at work.

I hate to be the one who says this, one of Beethoven's more beautiful movements, and Monet's masterpieces, magnificent, but not similar or compatible, in time period or in what both artists are trying to express, try Debussy!

Images 1 and 2, reverie, Arabesques etc.

Debussy would be beautiful, true, as he was also an impressionist. But Beethoven's "Pastoral" 6th Symphony might reflect the images too.

@Mew2thehedgehog, I have to disagree, although you would expect a combination of a french impressionistic painter with a french impressionistic composer, I think the second movement of Beethoven's seventh adds something very dramatic to Monet which does his work justice.

@LilysApple Nice, but if I were going to pair images of Monet's paintings with a Beethoven symphony, it would be the 6th; it just seems too obvious. The seventh -especially the sturm undt drang of this movement- is almost laughably incongruous.
