How can paintball rule over airsoft?? Paintball is first of all too messy and you get paint all over your body. Airsoft won't get you dirty and nasty looking like paintballing. When you are done playing airsoft, you can just go home and relax. Unlike airsofting, paintballers need to watch out not to dirty your car and go home and clean everything off their guns, shoes, vests, and everything you are wearing. Who wants paint in their mouth, if it hits their mouth.

Oh, and airsofters saying paintball is unrealistic? Tiberius Arms. Some of the best Milsim paintball guns on the market right now. Ive shot a 700$ T9 with sniper additions, rifled barrel, and a shitload of other upgrades. Load that with some rifled first strike rounds and a good scope, and you cant get anymore milsim than that. Paintball or airsoft. I prefer paintball, but thats just my thing.
Everyone, I think I know a reason Paintball lost. The airsofters were using mid-end airsoft guns, while the paintballers were using low-end guns. I can guarantee if you gave them some tiberius T9s or some DPs or something capable of achieving more than 8bps and a decent hopper, they would have done much better. I wont say they would have won, but it is something to consider. Gear is very inportant in paintball. You cant go against someone with a G4 when you have a spyder. You'll die :D

I like them both, but airsoft is less expensive and is more casual as you dont have to go to a field to play. However paintball is little more up close and adrenaline pumping.
As for the pain factor, airsoft is like a sharp sting, while paintball is like a punch. So both hurt pretty bad.

You can't compare the two. One is a sport and one is a hobby. Airsoft is realistic and slow paced and paintball is fast paced and adrenaline rushing. I play both. Paintball scenario sucks monkey balls in realism and accuracy compared to airsoft. Airsoft might not have range but it has the accuracy due to the hop up design. With this design, you can configure the back spin of a bb. I like both but airsoft is my cheaper alternative in military simulation. The military stopped using paintball.
i like both, i just like paintball better because of the variety of things you can do in paintball. its easier to get sponsored, guns are cheaper, and its a lot more intense. airsoft is fun, but i made a good setup with decent clothes and equipment. its about $590. my paintball setup includes, invert mini, invert jersey, valken pants, halo too hopper, empire 13 pod pack, empire pods, and a pure energy tank. all that was about $400

Then there is a good, fast hopper (18bps+) which is anywhere from 70$(invert Halo too) to 220$(dye rotor). Then there are the tanks (120$+), then there is the actual gun. Take an Empire axe. A popular, Mid-End speedball gun. 450+. Paintball is more expensive to make, thus more to expensive to play.

@bjjlegend1 No. You're wrong. The armed forces are using either paintball guns or simunition. There is an actual company that supplies paintball guns for training purposes to the military and low-end woodsball/recball guns to the public. Its called U.S Army paintball and is manufactured by Tippman. It is licensed by the U.S military. Paintballs are far closer to an actuall bullet in terms of aerodynamics and weight. Please learn the topic before you begin to talk about it.

99% of airsofters whom talk shit about paintball are virgin kids. Airsoft has it's place as 'off season' training for soldiers and just fun scenario. +1 to paintball. It hurts more and its an original game. I've played paintball, airsoft is illegal in Australia. Both are cool. End of :)

I like them both, but airsoft is less expensive and is more casual as you dont have to go to a field to play. However paintball is little more up close and adrenaline pumping.
As for the pain factor, airsoft is like a sharp sting, while paintball is like a punch. So both hurt pretty bad.
Another thing as i mentioned paintball is A LOT more expensive than airsoft.
10,000 bbs cost around $20, while 2,000 paintballs cost around $40-$50
BUT BOTH ARE HELLA FUN!!!

You can't compare the two. One is a sport and one is a hobby. Airsoft is realistic and slow paced and paintball is fast paced and adrenaline rushing. I play both. Paintball scenario sucks monkey balls in realism and accuracy compared to airsoft. Airsoft might not have range but it has the accuracy due to the hop up design. With this design, you can configure the back spin of a bb. I like both but airsoft is my cheaper alternative in military simulation. The military stopped using paintball.

i like both, i just like paintball better because of the variety of things you can do in paintball. its easier to get sponsored, guns are cheaper, and its a lot more intense. airsoft is fun, but i made a good setup with decent clothes and equipment. its about $590. my paintball setup includes, invert mini, invert jersey, valken pants, halo too hopper, empire 13 pod pack, empire pods, and a pure energy tank. all that was about $400

@rcfreak7777 thats how you can tell that you have not played airsoft with good players or decent guns, when you think airsoft, you thinks shitty little $30 walmart plastic guns, a good paintball gun cost like $150-$200 right and shoots like 300 fps right, well a good airsoft gun for $150-$200 shots at 350-400 fps and is made almost entirely out of metal, they hurt just as much as a paintball only it doesn't go numb after a few seconds since bbs are small, it keeps stinging for a very long time

@MrSoulTracker9 A reasone paintball is so much more expensive is the need for advanced electropnuematics. A tadao paintball board, which is a relatively old OLED board, is worth 150$ by itself. Then there is a good, fast hopper (18bps+) which is anywhere from 70$(invert Halo too) to 220$(dye rotor). Then there are the tanks (120$+), then there is the actual gun. Take an Empire axe. A popular, Mid-End speedball gun. 450+. Paintball is more expensive to make, thus more to expensive to play.
