I'm really ashamed to admit this, but I spent months obsessing over my sexuality. My family is very homophobic and my town is at least 10 years behind on gay rights, so at least my angst was kind of justified.
I just started the coming out process last night via the internet... I feel so much freer. Once I'm done with this stuff, I can stop obsessing and get back to being me.
Well, I suppose it wasn't exactly "coming out". It was more like "stop keeping it a secret". Know what I mean? The obsession is still there, but it's better now.
I told my mom... and she said that our family psychiatrist doesn't agree with my "choice", and that God hates me, and that my brothers and Dad won't accept me... And that when I grow up I'll be the "butt end of everyone's joke..." And that society doesn't accept "that sort of crap..." She told me that I'd better "get out of this phase thing." And she also told me to accept the fact that "You're a girl. You should act the part. Don't try to be a guy."

I somewhat agree. Being gay isn't what defines me, just like being straight isn't what defines heterosexual. It's a part, but not the whole. For example, i personally think that character is more important than sexuality so I would first describe myself as charismatic or truthful. And being gay is pretty much what i do just like being straight is what most people do. But it's not JUST what i do; it's a part of my life that changes everything i do. I somewhat agree. Being gay isn't what defines me, just like being straight isn't what defines heterosexual. It's a part, but not the whole. For example, i personally think that character is more important than sexuality so I would first describe myself as charismatic or truthful. And being gay is pretty much what i do just like being straight is what most people do. But it's not JUST what i do; it's a part of my life that changes everything i do. It shouldn't change everything, but it does.

I just did check the CDC stats. Nowhere does is say '2%' but it DOES say HIV cases are higher in straight couples than gay. If you're so opposed to homosexuality - why bother coming and viewing videos such as this? You sound like something of a closet case.. ;)

Your right, being gay isn't cool. People don't come out to be cool, but to be accepted for who they really are. It can be a difficult thing for LGBT people to come to terms with. There is nothing wrong with being gay. It is just a very small part of a person.
For people coming out, The help and support is out there, and it is a great weight off your shoulders.

being gay aint cool. God is against it. its hard but God understands and wants to heal you. there is no peace in being gay.

If Gay people are so bad, and your God is so perfect, when he made Gays, what did he do, mess up? if He's perfect, how could he mess up. And you say that there is no peace in being Gay? Coming out is the most liberating thing in the world. It feels so good to not be lying anymore, and it brings an incredible sense of... what was that? Oh, yeah, PEACE.
