I remember as a child, my mother loved her garden and would take me around the flowers, telling me their names. One day I saw her digging up some of the most beautiful of all and asking her WHY? She replied that our gov't said that all these beautiful flowers were illegal and must be destroyed.
My mother never knew therm as opium poppies, she wouldn't have known weed if it was in her face. They were flowers, beautiful ruby red poppies.
Howcan any government morally regulate VEGETATION?
Windflower is NOT a poppy plant, it is called "Anemone nemorosa", you can look this up in Wikipedia:
Anemone nemorosa is an early-spring flowering plant in the genus Anemone in the family Ranunculaceae. Common names include (European*) wood anemone, windflower, (European*) thimbleweed and smell fox, an allusion to the musky smell of the leaves. It is a perennial herbaceous plant, growing in early spring from 5 to 15 cm tall.
Lyrics - Windflowers,my father told me not to go near them. He feared them always, said they carried him away. Windflowers,I couldn't wait to touch them,to smell them,I held them closely. Now I cannot break away. Their sweet bouquet disappears like the vapor in the desert. Take a warning, son. Windflowers, their beauty captures every young dreamer who lingers near them. Ancient windflowers,I love you.

I met Dan Seals in Israel in '74 and we talked about the "Unborn Child" album. I told him my favorite song from the album was "Windflowers." He smiled and said, "That's a compliment. I wrote that song with Jimmy" (i.e Jim Seals, his brother.) I felt good for accidentally complimenting him!
I like your arrangement, well done Derek and thanks for sharing your video.
Best wishes from me and mine at Windflower Gore Estate, Saskatchewan CANADA

in my opinion. the father was referring to a lady who exercises one of the oldest profession, in almost every man's life it comes.
