sadly dissapointed. I know i'll get thumbed down but seriously you guys talked it up so much that it did not even come near to my expectations. Its just a remix of audio from Up which goes from loud to quiet in each headphone. Muscians have been doing this for decades so its really no huge deal.

@BrunetteSaxophone2 I stated this once and I'll state it again. Volume isn't the only thing that changes. To create the effect of 3D sound there has to be a very small delay between the sound reaching your one ear after reaching the other ear. This works because sound has a certain speed, and in real life sounds coming from the right would reach your left ear later and vice versa. Your brain does the rest of the work. It's clever really. Don't make comments like yours if you're obviously wrong.

My previous argument disproves yours because I checked the facts about the subject a long time ago and know that your statement does not apply to reality. Naturally I can't tell you that your opinion is wrong, and I couldn't/shouldn't tell you what to like, but I don't want amyone to be(come) misinformed :)

And this is done by varying the volume in each headphone. All I'm saying is that this 'audial' illusion is nothing to get worked up about. It's old technology and has not been particularly well applied in this instance.

Yes, the brain creates the illusion of sound being around us based on volume, but much more important is the delay between the sound reaching the one ear after the other ear. You have to have JUST the right volume AND delay to create a specific location. I would agree that it is old technology and nothing new, but to me it's still fascinating as it goes to demonstrate how the brain works.
