hey, awesome job on the scope looks grate :-) you mention a computer thing at 2.30 on this video. can I ask what it is and what its for? I was thinking angles or something?
@stuggyprs at 2:30 I talking about my Magellan 1 by Meade it is a computer for a goto mounts or just to find thing in the sky with a dob type mount or like altazimuth mount. I realy don't use it much only if the object is hard to find. I love hunting for the objects keep me sharp. hope that helped you, Clear skies to all.
I am using a 10" Skywatcher, but would like to get a 16" by next year. I have seen a 16" in the field and boy it is big!
What's the difference in views of M-66 / M-67 compared to a 10" in the field? I think it is a magnitude more....I just wondered how the view compares in the eyepiece!
@IIXCygnusXII... Its brighter than a 10" but also its the right eyepieces that one has as well. I have Teleview eyepieces and a 16" scope love it. And I just recoated my mirroirs as well and WOW !!! New scope. Clear skyes astro friend
tonyvtc3: I have a Starfinder 16", that I bought around the sametime, you bought yours. It's a great scope, but it is a handful. I have plans for it, but they havn't materialized yet. Buy the way, how are the optics in your Starfinder, are they good? Mine are, but I injured myself a few years ago lifting the tube myself, havn't used it sense, but I do have plans for it in the future. I like the mods on your scope, you have a gift, and a special talent, and I commend your efforts...clear skies
@KeithArnotBurr wuts funny about this comment is that it's completely reasonable when ur fucking around with a $16k telescope. But this guy obviously knew what he was doing I guess. Good point tho.
