Are you seriously this stupid? No, seriously. Did you really think your background would change? If so, Please kill yourself. You'll raise the average IQ of the planet by 2 points.
If its a joke then why are neither of us finding it funny? It just whows how much of a dumbass you really are for falling for that crap. Also, holding your breathe for about 10 hours should just about do the trick.
This is stupid and completely ineffective, when you clear mines its over vast expanses of land - that thing is way to slow, how ridiculous did that look, come on people get real.
well keep in mind in world war 2 we trying to figure out a way to turn bats into flying incendiary bombs, and actually found a way to do it. reality is crazier than fiction

hehehe... "teamed up" and "guiding"? Sounds more like the machine pushes the shit-scared rodent into the minefield. But hey. I'd rather see the mongoose go ka-boom than a human being.
looks like it takes 10 years to move a meter lol by the time this things gone over a mine field, the war would be over and the mongoose would have died from old age.
I would liek to see, how marines would wait about a week for these stupid things to watch for mines :D it's gonna be much easier to just throw a grenade and shoot the field, than send this peace of crap.
This duo is not intended for the battlefield; it's designed to demine the millions of active land mines still in place from over a century of past wars. Thousands of civilians all over the world are killed annually from these remaining mines, so an innovative approach like this could hasten the global demining effort. For the most part, land mines have been banned from military use worldwide since the Ottawa Treaty of 1997, so demining is now more of a humanitarian issue than a military one.
They should arrest all the CEO's of companies making land mines and make them walk blindfolded through a minefield. Our world land mine problem could be quickly solved.
Good luck getting past all those land mines. Lol also good luck making the CEOs do that. They're probably people like the president of china and russia.
@JohnDeBunkTest ceos of companies making land mines they are needed in military campaigns asked for and purchased ........ how is the companies fault they dont kill people they provide a service
When i heard of this story i expected a dalek like combination wid a mongoose at the controls, yet no, the little blighter's on a lead! seems happy enough though keep up the good work.
I don't know about that. The mongoose has got to be getting something out of it or it would have no particular reason to do what it's been trained to do. It probably gets a lot of treats. If it didn't feel like that was enough compensation, then it wouldn't bother doing it's job, would it?
It's great that there are people like out out there to write these great insightful comments. Domesticated animals have been of utility to humans for millennia. I'm not saying it's right, but the precedent has been set and there are many worse, crueler examples of animal use and misuse. Someone is making real innovations that may help protect human and animal life, and all you can do is criticize their methods on some irrelevant technicality.
sorry but the robot looks terribly inefficient

Is that the future? Mindwashed, trained animals controlling huge robots?
But in a way we already have that, don't we.
Anyway, crazy stuff.
