My Apple has been running since 1989 and has never crashed EVER. I am still playing my original game of Oregon Trail. Apple is 100x better than microsoft. Im a cinematographer and editer, If I wanted to use a Mac (as I plan to next fall) and do everything in HD along with make hard copies in HD, I just couldnt. I need to re learn everything I have mastered. Which tells us 1 thing about Mac, they dont want to give a flying fuck after you buy theyre product.

Ah, I see what you mean, adamisthereinventer. You can rest assured the editing software on a Mac is just like any other... I've learned about five different NLE, and Final Cut Pro is no different from the others. And the OS is so easy to use it's almost silly.

And I've been running one particular Powerbook for 5 years, and it's STILL editing HD video with only $200 in upgrades. I've never had a PC with a lifespan like that.

I really enjoyed this commercial and it's awkward humor. Changed my view on Bill Gates and made me think he would be a cool guy to hang out with! I really believe this was done to humanize the Microsoft brand, however, think the cost to make this was absurd. I heard a figure of 300 Million to make?!! Sad.

I disagree. These days you don't buy a mac for the hardware, it's all for the OS. the machine I'm using now has both OSX and Windows, I could have linux on it if I wanted. So in my mind all three options are direct competitors. Perhaps ImpatientPollo should have said "linux is better than Windows or OSX" but that's just semantics.
