I used to like this one a lot but when I once picked it up again a long time later I got this weird feeling with the steering and I really can't drive in it anymore. It feels like constantly holding L or R in mariokart for the SNES.

The review didn't even mention the battle mode, which is worth the cost alone. Up to 4 player split screen balloon battle on block fort, double decker, big donut, and skyscraper. A lot faster paced and more skill needed then the nerfed Gamecube and Wii multiplayer. More similar to Mario Kart DS, but faster paced.

Nintendo 64 is way better than PS1. Infact, Nintendo is way better Sony in general. Better graphics, better controls, better gameplay, and WAY better games. Sure Sony has alot more games in there library and last a bit more longer, but Nintendo has the better ones that have alot of replayability. The only thing I don't like about the downloaded version, is that the controls are kind of hard to get used to. But other than that, It's a very good game! Now I just need to play the original super mario 64, and a LOT of other classic gams like that! I kinda wish that I grew up with these games instead of trying to find them all and play them. It's a pain to try and do that!

SNES Version was better for gameplay, this looks better and is full screen but plays like shit, N64 was a crappy console the SNES was so much better... the wii is awsome but lacks decent titles too much mario stuff. mario kart wii looks superb. if you have wii download snes version of mario kart and avoid this steaming pile of goat shit. trust me.

Mark I strongly reccomend reviewing Crash Team Racing on PlayStation 1 because it's an extremely fun kart racing game and 4 player party game and also crash bash is a cool party game. Also you should review the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games PlayStation 1 and they are really awesome platforming games.

Super Mario Kart is more about skills since you have to collect coins to improve your speed, 64 is like Wii version, kinda of luck based. Which is better? Depends if you want a fair competition, go play Super Mario Kart or the GBA Mario Kart, or Crash team racing since it uses the same coin system and have 3D graphics.

@Bloodysabbath48 I'd say super mario kart is actually better on the 1 and 2 player mode but if you want to play 4 player then mario kart 64 is better, and i'd suggest to just buy them both and also crash team racing is awesome kart racing game i've played since 5 years old and i'm stilling playing crash team racing to this day and 16 years old and my 20 year old cousin and my 20 year old bother still play it aswell.

@AltPunkMetal Having an all-in-one saves space, reduces cables, and gives you newer equipment. The consoles from those eras are slowly dying. They last much longer than disc based systems for sure, but they will eventually go out.

@AltPunkMetal They'll eventually die even if you own them (capacitors go out, pin connectors get messed up, etc.). I know that the N64 uses the same cable as the SNES but it still means an extra plug for your power strip, an extra A/V connection for your TV, and extra shelf space for your entertainment system. As for game compatibility and quality, they've gotten much better over time (example: the new Supaboy by Hyperkin is apparently an extremely good SNES clone)
