The only problem is you should have mentioned that the Mablung sword works better with shields than the shield rod; you should slip that in somewhere.

I figured out the Wolf thing by accident, but I did the super jump and morphed in each location, I didn't know you could swim like that as the dog once you jumped up there... I just fell down in slow motion lol.

Btw if you want the sword he had (Crissaegrim) you need a Ring of Arcana (found in Necromancy Labs). Kill the Schmoo ghosts in the Forbidden Library. After a while one will drop it. It's very helpful in this game.

It looks like my dog is just not gonna swim... However, this thing of turning into wolf on water helped me to fill those unreachable places, the dog didn't swim but when I found the needed place becoming into the wolf helped to fill the map

the spectral sword is an awesome way to make fast money, just put on the jewel sword and kill it with it again and again, you will get from 2 -5 or more jewels each time, which you can later sell to the librarian for money

Everybody seems to love the sword familiar. I found its AI to be horrible, its movements slow and mostly random, and the damage mediocre. The sword brothers spell also loses to soul steal with high int and mojo mail.

Yeah, I don't like the Sword familiar either, and for the same reasons. I like the Bat better, mostly because it actually attacks and does damage.

When the sword gets more experience, it does a better attack and is really helpful.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the Sword Familiar as a weapon. I can't decide if I want to use it, the Crissaegrim, or the Alucard Shield and Shield Rod combo. Pair the Sword Familiar weapon or Crissaegrim with two Rings of Varda and a high level, and the damage Alucard does is just insane. Though, I have to give the edge to the Crissaegrim mostly because it swings four times for each one time you press the button, and that helps alot.

That's fine. That's your prerogative, and I respect it, but I stand with my choice of the Bat familiar. The Sword may do more damage, but even at max level, as a familiar, it still only wants to go where it wants to, and where it wants to isn't always where the enemy is.

When the sword familiar gets a high enough level, it stops doing that dumb spin attack where ever, and starts slicing enemies. I can't remember it missing an enemy with that attack. (I like the demon and ghost better though.)

Maybe, but it still goes only where it wants to, and that's the killer for me. Even if I can max my map percentile with the Sword Brothers trick, but if the Master Librarian won't sell it, (seriously, when does he offer it?) I can't do that.

That's a problem for me, because I check every now and again starting the soonest I can after getting the Sword familiar, and he never offers it.

You don't need to buy any of the spells to use them. Once you have enough MP you need only enter the command and Alucard will do it and add it to his spell list (though I believe Wolf Charge and Wing Smash require having Wolf and Bat form 'upgrade' relics and Sword Brothers requires the Sword familiar to be at least a certain level).

Little-known secret: the Crissaegrim is not the best sword in the game, nor the Muramasa (though they are more convenient). ^_~

Provided you have the MP and high-enough level Sword Familiar, yes. All buying a spell does is tell you the input command if you don't already know it.

You need the Skill of Wolf relic, then tap triangle, (or the same button that you use for alucard to slide backwards) and the wolf should do a doggy paddle.

Also for those wondering about Shield Rod it can be found in Colloseum in the normal castle, bottom floor. Holding the Shield button and tapping you Shield Rod button twice will activate it.

Tyrfing's use is on Dopleganger (am i correct) Use it to him and he cannot attack because he is cursed. (same thing that happens to you when cursed)

Something i want to add to the comments. if you are trying to fill out your enemy list you will haft to attack the enemy one time. like dracula. you enter his place and get all the 200.6% map completeion if you have discovered everything, attack him once and use the library card. nr 61, Mudman can be found as the last enemy before you find the Soul of Bat. a Lesser Demon who summons more monsters incl Mudmen :)

You have to have beaten the game, then go to the Inverted Outer Wall. From there, go to the hall right above where you fight Frankenstein's Monster. Kill the Phlanthrops or whatever they are called.

lol alucart equipment gives no stats except if u wear shield mail and sword ur status changes to "alucart" and as long as you wear that equipment, your luck will be increased by 30...very good for item hunting

Alucard's equipment is the real deal. It packs a punch. The Alucart equipment is useless unless you want your luck higher. Then equip all of the Alucart gear and it will change your name to Alucart and raise you luck.
