I'm 27, aussie & just started learning tai chi. I have suddenly become obsessed with it haha. My grandfather was chinese so i guess it's in my blood. I have recently been given the opportunity to go around to preschools with a tai chi program for kids under school age. From finding info on the internet, I see that this has become a trend in schools in the US. I think that in the future, this will be something that is available in Western schools. There are so many benefits from it :)

Actually guns wouldn't work without gunpowder, which was invented by the Chinese. Chinese also invented forks, which you use to eat. In addition, they invented spaghetti which you probably enjoy eating too.

If only western schools had this for kids. Kids would be much less suceptibal to other negative mediums, and find the confidence in themselves. We of the west always look at our selves as the givers, but it appears to me we have much to learn from the east. We must mix both schools. Both of medicine and mind.

I'm not sure if qi gong can cure aids. I've met a grandfather who have healed from a brain tumor by qigung. I'm thinking that if a person had enough yang qi he can cure himself of aids.

Anyway, you can study this excellent form of Qi Gong by doing a search on "Luke Chan" or "Chi-lel". Or, buying the DVD teaching it by Daryl Mitchell in Australia. It's a lot of hard work but is worth it! Especially if you have a disease. I'm not sure children in the US can work on this hard enough?

I found out that Dr. Pang closed it because the government was getting suspicious that it was turning into a Falun Gong kind of cult. Too bad, it helped a lot of people.

How is Falun Gong a cult? I'm not denying it but it looks to me like just a bunch of people practicing Qigong but being imprisoned and tortured for it. If they are a cult then what makes them one?

If you ever further investigate Falun Gong, you will see that their exercises are Qi Gong. But, they have a leader who lives conveniently in the US. He is a very big fake! Made up his own religion and then stole at leisure a bunch of qi gong moves he fancied. he combined it all into a make believe philosophy to call his own. I've read his books and they are the ravings of a lunatic. Believe me, it's a cult.

I don't know. The big bossman is named Li Hong Zhi. I think I still have his book, when I tried to openly discuss it with a Falun gong member, they avoided me. It's very cultish. This guy made everything up by stealing things from Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, etc., Just reading his childish rant on human evolution is funny enough. He's like a born-again christian. Your time would be better spent practicing some real Qi gong!

Falun gong is a religion that use qi gong exercice. Qi gong isn't a religion!!!
