@heckems it saved america 1.5 billion in medicare savings. that's 1.5 billion saved in tax dollars (roughly 569 dollars per recipient). The are receiving free preventative care and cheap drugs, and it saved our tax dollars. If health care reform continues, medicare may not be as necessary for many americans, are tax dollars can be saved for everyone. it's a pretty easy concept is all...I think the GOP is drying desperately to bark at anything that helps the poor.

@heckems as an example to you, I have clinical anxiety and depression, I have no control over that, so I need medication. at Costco, I dont need insurance, and I pay 20 dollars for 3 months of medication. It is a god send. I am also going to school to get my degree in teaching. I need a college degree to I can get a good job, and own a home. I pay my taxes and I'm happy to do it. Obama extended insurance benefits for students, and got us financial aid. I have goals, I bathe, I have my own mind.
